i fell for this scam when i first entered theyre comp about the maths omg i panicked when i couldnt get hold of em never did get my deposit back, but they have phoned me twice this week both at tea times i have told em to go away wont be entering any of their comps again no way not a cat in hells chance:mad: :mad: :mad:

Thanks for this, I wish I'd seen this earlier as I've had yet another phone call of them today :mad: and I would have quoted this to them. The woman I spoke to today said she'll take me off the list but I won't hold my breath :rolleyes:.

This has really put me off entering any more competitions now and it looks like I'll have to change my phone number again if they continue to call.

I got a call..said hmm I will look at their website and get back to them (with no intention). She asked was I going to look on the computer at that precise moment (eh nope!)

She was insistent that she would call back in the afternoon..and she did...but Mr fluffynit took the call and politely told her to bog off.

They called me the other day too, when i said i had no children, they hung up. i have emailed them saying that their company is disgraceful, and that they are using children as a front for what is a scam, also mentioning that i will be researching the legality of their companies actions. lol Of course also asking to be taken off their list.

I am fed up of this company... I have hung up on them many times and let one american chap waffle on about Havard ??? to me for ages.... 20 mins after I hung up... it felt so good.... tempted to just enter hundreds of bogus names and number into the competition page just to bug them as they have all of us.....

those who are TPS registered can they not be reported? as the t&cs show people didnt agree to be phoned

Bingo! I think I have them!!

I have been doing a lot of reading on the Information Commissioners Office website, https://www.ico.gov.uk

Although mychild have gotten through a lot of the legal loopholes, I may have found somewhere they have slipped up! This would make their actions either completely illegal, or perhaps give us the option to claim compensation should they contact us in certain circumstances. I can't say too much on a public forum yet.

I have emailed the ICO asking for advice on this company and its actions, and i am hopeful we may be able to do something about it! It may be possible for us to enter all their comps and they will not be allowed to contact us ever again!

I will keep you informed as soon as i know more from the ICO!

My Child are definitely on my 'do not touch with a 10 ft bargepole' list! I've started to get calls from them but then they just hung up. Did a google and found out they do that a lot. I already knew the company were a right pain but didn't know they did the hang up phone on you too........so I've added their number to my contacts, named them Do Not Answer and changed the ringtone so I know not to even bother. What a nuisance!
