Taking a stand against estate agents do u agree?

RIGHT IM AM AT BOILING POINT NOW IM SOOOO BLOODY ANGRY
i live in bournmouth in a rented accomadation its a ground floor flat and there is five more flats where i live.
I moved here 4 years ago and was pleased with the flat i was living in, it was very mordern and very clean the neighbours were quiet and nice.
I was happy with the rent amount which is £695 a month i no abit pricy but its the south lol,
but now im angry the neighbours have all changed and they are dumping rubbish outside our flats no one is recycling proberbly and rubbish is everywhere the communal hallway has nt been cleaned for ages fag buts and smoking inside the communal hallway or at the doorway and leaving the doorway open, we cant even use the communal garden loads of polish has moved in and they have taken over, nothing against polish but we should be able to use it.
The fence is falling down and no one has fixed it, and worst of all, no one has checked our electrics and boiler for years and the other day i found out you are meant to check this yearly,
The parking outside has got worse and seems to be three cars between to each flat near enough and there is only parking for 4 cars only, glass everywhere and there is small children that live here.
And then to top everything UP they decide to put our rent up to £734 a month. we cant even use the garden for godsake.
I no im moaning here but am i right to get peed of with this or am i meant to shut up about it , do i phone and complain??
Does anyone else get theses problems ? and is it time to take a stand against estate agents.
Thanks for hearing me out. xxx Jemma x

  • Hi Jemma if all the flats are managed by the same agent i would be complaning big time especially with the increase in rent looming! The other option is to look around for a new flat as if there are several agents then nothing will get done.

I would second that. If you have been a good tenant for four years, you are in a very strong negotiating position - long-standing, reliable tenants are a huge asset to most landlords and agents.

    I understand.
I come form a country where we are complaining out loud (give you a hint: strikes every couple of weeks...)

have all neigbours changed from when you moved 4yrs ago?
someone you could try to casually talked to - and they possibly too feel like you ..
It just makes me so  people who are not considerate of others (rubbish everywhere etc etc, don't they want to leave in a nice place!!!)

What made me think even more was a tv programme i watched this morning on bbc 1 about a lady trying to clean up plymoth estate even though my place is a private rented accomadation and no where near the state the plymoth estate was , i just thought i cant take no more of it, it just looks like a dump site, and might start attracting the wrong people hear.
It is making me think how can people just leave things in a dump when they are paying all this money to live here.?
I am hoping people might stand up for themselves after reading this.
