  • Here's the good news for today:

    1. I may have more work coming in - wouldn't get paid until end of Jan now, but it's something. :)

    2. My £5 amazon voucher came, so I bought a lil xmas present with it, also I put in a claim for that $5 paypal card I was talking about above. Currently sitting on 49 swagbucks again, but we'll soon get that back up :D

    3. Sold two things on Ebay, packaging them up this morning to send

    4. Made my CC1 minimum payment for this month. CC2 bill for next month should probably come today....hmmm....now.....let's see....

Thank you! I am pleased too - fingers crossed nothing will go wrong :)

Now the bad news - I still have 5 presents to finish making. EEEEK!!
  • Righty-ho.

We are 4 presents done now :) - plus one to finish but it doesn't really matter if it doesn't get done for xmas, I am not seeing the person until after xmas anyway. I've still got about 8 pressies to wrap though. Hmmm. :(

I have cancelled meeting up with a friend tonight as I was just getting ridiculously stressed with the whole thing, and need some time to get organised. Phew!

The house still looks like a bomb has hit it, but it's slowly improving.

I've sold one more thing on ebay that I will send tomorrow if the person pays quickly. It's only a few quid but it all counts, plus it's less clutter in the house! I want to watch that programme that was on about hoarders last night to inspire me further...I always find that watching those shows makes me have a good old clearout!

I got my CC2 statement through yesterday - £155 to find before the 9th of Jan. £120 of that is bloody interest! I'm determined to find a way to make that minimum payment though - even if I have to Ebay my Grandad. ;)

My swagbucks are standing at 238 this am. :) I can't really get the hang of Superpoints, I am only on 59 of them after a few days, but I will keep trying. Pressing the Superlucky button will give me something to do when my dad is droning on about the war!
  • I feel so much more relaxed than yesterday!! Amazing what a good sleep will do for you.

Swagbucks at just under 300, Superpoints at 116.

Made a PAD today, so now just £135 to find for that CC payment before the 9th.

Off now to wrap some more pressies and get in a Christmassy mood :D

PS - Oh - and OH got a pay rise :D
  • Right - I'm back once again for the renegade master....back once again with the ill behaviour!

January has started with a poop sandwich. Time for a summary I think:

    - Loan payments went out ok at the end of the month, but now I am beyond my OD limit again. Pardon my French, but bloody hell. I have just been charged 50 quid for the last time I went over, which was last month. This is exactly the kind of cycle I was trying to avoid.

    - OH is now hassling me for money I owe him - which I don't blame him for at all - it's just that it has now dropped into the OD black hole and I can't face telling him.

    - I have been really really good with money over Christmas and the New Year, it's just been a simple case of there not being enough of it to cover my bills and outgoings....

    - ....for example, I still have to find just over 100 quid for a CC bill which is due on the 9th. This is not going to be happening.

    - What is more worrying is that car tax is also due at the end of the month.

Unfortunately, work is very slow in January, meaning that I will not be getting many shifts at all. :(

So here's the plan of attack:
    1. I have to raise funds, and quick-smart, so I have started listing like a mad woman on Ebay, including several Christmas presents I received, which I feel bad for doing, but needs must.

    2. Swagbucks are up to 636, which at least means I will be able to cash out another 5 dollars in cash when I hit 700 tomorrow. Superpoints are still only at 242. I am perservering, but only because I won 50 points on the button the other day.

    3. I am going to join up with lots of Mystery Shopping sites - I joined my first one yesterday. I need to increase those revenue streams! :)

    4. Looks like I will still be doing a bit of other work too - but it is all getting delayed, so realistically I can't expect that money now until the end of Feb at least. :(

    5. Sell a necklace to the jewellers which an ex bought me years ago - it has a small diamond in it, so I hope to get 50 quid for it. I will go in and see, it's worth an ask.

I am trying really hard not to use CC or get another unsecured loan - that's what got me into this mess in the first place. I want to get out of this hole I've dug for myself the RIGHT way. I just wish that I could catch a break and up my income a bit. Is it possible to be money-cursed?!

Sounds like a good plan thev. my OH earns over £500 a month mystery shopping but sometimes there is a bit of an outlay before the money comes back to you. If you want some Mystery shopping referals pm me your email addy - I'd appreciate it as I get a few quid when you sign up via my link. Any luck finding more work with more regular hours? x

Ask the universe and you shall receive - I just got a couple of shifts at the restaurant...erm, really hope my boss isn't reading this?! lol! :D So that will help a bit, anyway.

Dinah that would be great, thanks so much; I've already joined two companies now so they might be the same ones, but if you PM me I'll let you know. £500 per month is amazing, well done your OH!! X

Nice to see you back :D

I think January is a tough month for lots of business but restaurants I think are one of the worst. I used to have set shifts but January was always a killer as nobody came in and so the nights dragged so much.

Maybe you can eBay enough for the car tax :o
