We have a water meter. We live in a new house so ours was built with it. We have a four bed detached house and there are two adults and three children. We pay about £30 a month on our water bill.

Friend of mine works for Water Board. She said for families it's usually better not to have a meter, but if you live alone, or for couples with no children, a meter is often cheaper.

Sharon.. I either drag the duvet outside and hang it over the line for a blow.. OR I dangle it over the bottom of the bed and open the window and air it that way.

I am calm now.. just fed up.. af was due today but staying away.. ggrrrr.....

  • Pigpen - Thanks for that.

I always get "ratty" when AF is due but it usualy happens with me about a week to ten days before it appears and last for a couple of days. OH can tell when its coming. Have you tried vitamin B6 complex? I find that helps with my mood swings. Failing that a large glass of wine, or two helps!!

    Evening all

My catnap turned into a couple of hours

Reporting a 2 lb gain this week :o:o:o  At least I went to class. I wasnt going to bother, but changed my mind at 5 pm. I'm not very good at this dieting lark

Are you feeling better now Tia? Big hugs for you G&B.

I've got ironing to crack on with which I'll do when the Apprentice is on, appropriately enough ;) I'll finish the kitchen off as well. It was tidy, but DD decided to bake. I made her clean the oven as she got meringue (sp?) everywhere. I'm so harsh :D

Hi Jamtart  welcome to organised chaos ;) You're doing great with your ebay challenge. You can give us some tips :D

CB - I think I forgot to say, that metal polish is just fab!!! Its cleaned the window handles a treat.

Stupid ebay question - does the 5p listings start from midnight tonight? I might get DD to take pics with her phone and start listing at midnight.

    hiya
    my list for tomorrow;

Master bedroom & landing - Thursday
    Level 1

    Check fire alarms are working
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from wardrobe (or someone elses) that you can get rid of..
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 39 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Clear the top of a bedside cupboard/chest of drawers or shelf
    • s/s one of children's bedroom
i'm not changing beds or turning matresses with one hand so i'll s/s a child's room instead. probably going out for the day so will do it in the evening.
    think that's all doable xx
