We all had dentists check ups, got to go back for them Thurs. Still need to decide what to do abouth that, dentists starting to charge for kids from next month. Can't really afford to pay, but DS1 is terrified of going, he is going to need orthadontic treatment, so worried about going elsewhere.

Wanted to get a pressie for his mate - guitar accessories maybe?, The shop said it was open but door locked, did few other bits then tried again, note on door - back in a min. When we drove past on way home note still on door. How annoying is that?

The school dentist team are based at Tunstall Health Centre - I think - they should be able to sort the kids out but also they have children referred when they have issues with dentists - I'll see if I can find the number or any info.

Also Home Bargains at Kidsgrove - not sure what end of the city you are - have some guitar accessories in at the moment so it might be worth a trip there.

I spent all day in the kitchen yesterday - cooking not cleaning! So that's still to do.

Today we took DS to the hospital for his appointment at the allergy clinic. He had his adenoids out a few months ago but it made no difference. We have discovered today that he is allergic to pollen and 4 types of dust mite. So that means I'm going to have to really keep on top of the cleaning in future!!

The annoying thing is that they should surely have checked for allergies before doing any surgery  Or would that only be obvious to us mere mortals and not to the medical lot?

Tomorrow I'm back on track with the cleaning.
  • ooops Can I freeze Hummus? I made some from scratch for the first time. I haved a big box of dried chickpeas that I wanted to try and use. Trouble is there is LOADS and I doubt we will eat it all. We only use it for dips and I have never used it for anything else. So question is will it freeze?

Jue - we are between Leek & Hanley, will have a look in Leek on Thurs, Thanks.
As for the dentist we are classed as Staffs Moorlands although the address is Stoke on trent, don't know if this makes a difference. Our current dentist refers to Macclesfield.
