    Hello everyone

Hope you're all having a good Sunday- at least it's stopped raining (well, it has here anyway!)

smokeybabe - hope you're coping today, it must be so hard trying to cope with your own grief and help the children with their's.....please take care of yourself (((((smokey)))))

Catowen - hope you've had a lovely visit with your friends, don't worry about the housework, in my experience it never goes anywhere - - it's always waiting in the wings :D

mumzyof2 - Hope I've got that right?...anyway, hope the non-smoking is going OK - it's hard work I know (I gave up on 5th November 1989 and the date is still engraved on my mind ;))

Hester I've just beed reading your blog - love it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope everyone's day is going to plan...DH having to work today so my plan was to get up early, clean through so that I had a head start on the week before work tomorrow, fill the cake tins (empty A-G-A-I-N) and perhaps do a bit in the garden. BUT.....DS2 bought me a cup of tea in bed, so I thought I'd just read a bit of my latest book 'cause it was SO good.....................ended up lying in bed until 1.15pm until book was almost finished, and I only got up then because poor children were starving to death (actually they are old enough to sort themselves out but I was hungry too ;)) Then I sat on the sofa and read until the end....Now book is finished, I feel sad because it's all over (always feel that with a good book) and nothing else is done! :o:o:o:o:o:o

    Afternoon everybody :hello:

I have had a nice day so far - went to church (had a REALLY difficult mass-setting to sight-read, but it went OK!), dropped into John Lewis and treated myself to some Liz Earle cleanser using some JL vouchers I got from Pigsback (not used it before but have seen so many people raving about it on MSE, I thought I should get some!), dropped into mini Tesco for some eggs and managed to get some yellow-stickered seeded bagels and pains au chocolat, which will do me for breakfast for about a week, and some yellow-stickered coriander which will make a nice soup before the ageing carrots in the fridge start to go funny...

    And I went for a swim :)

Am vegetating in front of the telly for a while but will be having a bit of a cookathon this evening - carrot and coriander soup as mentioned above; fish pie, as I took the ingredients out of the freezer last night; lemon drizzle cake, which I promised my colleagues I'd do for them; and something (banana muffins probably, but haven't decided yet) to take to church tomorrow night for a buffet.

    smoky ((((((((hugs))))))))

    Hiya! :hello:

Smokybabe big hugs to you and your family. :grouphug:

Catowen :hello: Hope your meal went well, especially the wine!

Hardup Hester Katy's exploits would make the basis for a great tv show or a book! Why not turn all of this into a script or a bestseller...then you can retire early? :rotfl:

The hour went forward and I feel like I've lost about 4 hours. We didn't make it to church this morning :o and DD1 came home from the sleep-over shattered and went to bed for most of the afternoon. I woke her up in the end as she's going to have problems sleeping tonight and she's back at school tomorrow.
The wm is doing overtime today as I've stripped all of the beds and I'm washing coats plus all of the other usual clothes. Just as long as it doesn't break again before I get my new one in May.
I've written a meal plan for the next 2 weeks and my shopping list for tomorrow. DH and the girls are back at school tomorrow but I've still got another week off, as my school broke up late for Easter. :D I've got lots of assessment and records to catch up on though.
Tonight's tea will be spag bol and smoothies, as we need to catch up on our fruit intake as it seems to have dropped and been replaced by chocolate.:o
I still need to get the uniforms ready, make the packed lunches and finally face the dreaded pile of ironing.
    Have a good evening.:D

well after me thinking everyone was on the mend, ds1 has now got it again, he looks terrible, keeps being sick and is hardly eating, cant even get him to eat sugary lollies:eek:

if it doesnt get better will have to phone nurse for advice, as normally sickness bugs means a trip to hospital for him, which we really dont want.

Went to tesco with twink as dh stayed with ds1, got a few things but was meant to get some trousers for dh that are casual/comfortable wear for a 2nd interview for a job on wednesday, well i forgot and he was really miffed with me:rotfl: oops:rolleyes: how am i meant to know what he wants anyway?

    Afternoon to everyone,
Have just had a quick peak at the days OS threads. I really like reading about HardupHester's accounts of Katy. :D . I've been replanting some tomato seedlings, and have just started off some squash seeds. I also used up the last of the easter eggs to make some rice crispies cakes. I'm sure my family will demolish them tonight. My DS has a sickness bug at the moment, but still seems full of beans.
I plan on doing the "how many meals can you get from a pack of minced beef" challenge later. This is after I take a well deserved break, and finish reading my book I started last night. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

    Best Wishes -Powie
