Morning all
Dogrose I shall be planted in front of the TV for footie this afternoon too!!! I have a friend who I met on the chatrooms about 6 years ago who is from Liverpool, we clicked with the same sense of humour, same age, same age kids etc and have met up a few times since. Her hubby and daughter are Everton fans and she is a Liverpool supporter so I feel I should give her some support by text this afternoon
Have done a small pile of ironing and have made some fairy cakes. Does anyone know what I can mix melted chocolate with to make a topping for them please? (the fairy cakes, not the ironing!!) Bought a half price easter egg the other day and saved the egg to use on them.
Looking forward to being a regular on here, love the sense of humour and the kindness of all you people0 -

Dlb good luck at the footie
Pen Pin good to see you back
Tired Mum, enjoy your holiday x
Gazza, hugs to your sister.
Very overcast here today, think we are in for more rain, , need to change our bed and get it washed, will do DD'd tomorrow, spreads the washing out a bit then.
DD got in from seeing her brother off at the airport, at 10.00 last night, she was devistated, cried for hours, he has gone for two years, which seems like a lifetime when you are 13, poor thing, I tried to tell her to think of the great adventure he would be having but she was just too upset, hope she is a bit brighter today, ( she is just getting up  )
well another week at school/work then we have our Easter holidays, we are off to Devon for the first week to a cottage in Stokenham, which will be so nice, no running around on school runs/ work runs
Roast lamb and all the trimmings today, might pop over to worthing to get some new slippers, ( I know how to live )
Have good days all xx0 -
Hi all. Nice and sunny here, even feels quite warm out. Last night it was horrible though, wet, windy and cold. Typical English weather I suppose. I did remember to alter the clocks though poor OH didn't realise I'd done them and got up this morning in a panic thinking it was almost lunchtime :rotfl:
Happy birthday to Mioliere's OH, hope he has a good day.
Hugs to Smokey and her family.
Not much to report today. Was  with OH yesterday who suddenly decided he 'had' to go to the supermarket for some milk and ended up spending over £35 on gin, cider and, oh yes, two pints of milk.
DD and DS both had late nights (in fact DS hasn't reappeared with MY car yet) so all quiet here at the moment. I have to make some pitta breads in a moment for lunches tomorrow and will also give the spicy fruit loaf recipe in the Panny book a try I think.
HH -well you confused me too, if that helps!
Have a good day everyone.

Hi everyone
Hugs for ((smokey)), martyn, hope you have a better day today
All quiet here. Sorry for not popping in over the last few days. OH is away in Canada with work and I tend to go into autopilot and get a bit manic when I'm on my own. He's back Wednesday though which will be nice.
I've just been for a run round the park, so my back aches but it's such a nice day here it was a shame not to go out. :hello: across Oxfordshire to SOMO1.
I made a milk loaf ion the BM last night and it is really nice and so soft. I'd never made it before, but I think it will become a firm fixture at home.
kyle - I empathise with your DS - I constantly have nintendo DS eye strain and stiff fingers! Damn computer games... but they are so addictive... I've been playing animal crossing for the last week.OH is going to have to take it to work and lock it in his desk when he gets back.
tattycath - I found some wool in Wilkinsons, stuck on the end of an aisle (I think it is acrylic) Our art shops round here sell it too. I tried to crochet last night but I just can't remember how to do it. All of my knitting needles are too large to do anything with (The smallest set I have is 6.5 mm), so I might nip out and see if I can find some pins of the correct size later. I have to wait until some other sad person comes to work though as I can't find my swipe card and won't be able to get back in if leave at the moment (although I'm quite glad I popped in when I did - as I've just spotted that one of our little ones has left a bit of paper stuck to a heater plate that's running at 180 degrees..)
Have a good day all, celHardup_Hester wrote: »Morning all
I have no idea what she is talking about, Sometimes she gets current events muddled with her scripture, she also gets confused between films & real life, as does her Aunty, until she came to UK Katy thought Pretty Woman was a true story

Morning all !
Woke up to bright sunshineand having lost an hours sleep and feeling somewhat like a 'zombie' dragged myself out of bed all set to go to the local boot fair only to find it was cancelled due to the rain we've had making the feel so wet !
On the plus side it saved me a few pence or possible pounds but I was really looking forward to some bargains.
So, have to re-think my day...........bit of clearing out to do -nothing major just a couple of drawers to sort out........want to keep my card making stuff in them and at the minute they're full of 'stuff'............might be quite exciting -who knows what might be stuffed up the corners...............lol
Have a good day all and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Welcome  You can just melt the chocolate alone, or add some butter. I then like to top them with lightly tosated, finely chopped nuts. You can also add the toasted nuts and choc chips to the cake mix (though, obviuously, it's too late for this time).

Thanks Penelope Penguin wasn't sure whether the warm chocoate would mix well with the cool butter but I will give that a try, thanks.
And thanks for all the warm welcomes too:j0 -
Hi all,
Got to do a quick trip to the shops today for dd packed lunch then home to cook a

Only have 1 load of washing today which is already on so should be finished by the time i return from shopping ready to dry.
The kids have just dragged mud over my new carpet again  so that is in 4 a good cleaning later on.In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.0 -
Afternoon all
I actually remembered about the clocks - I stuck a note to the kettle as its my first port of call in the morning
(((hugs))) to Smoky and the children, thinking of you.
Hope today is a better day for you Martyn
Pen-Pen - Glad you enjoyed your hols, welcome back!
Hello to everyone else today
Was rudely awakened this morning by OH (not not like that) but because he'd forgot about the clocks and nearly missed The Championship - aka that would be the end of the world as we know it. So much for my lie-in lol  Last night's Chilli Wraps were a big hit and theres enough chilli left for 2 more meals so thats gone in the freezer. Washer is on and i AM going to do some ironing today, i promise
DD has been playing in her room and putting make up on, got a shock when she came down, looked like she'd got a black eye lol :rotfl: I'd better start teaching her that less is more!
Chicken and butterbean casserole for tea with mash and broccoli and i want to play with my new pan again so might make a batch of curry for the freezer. MrsFlittersnoop - wish OH would get me something like that for my birthday, he was horrified at Xmas when i asked for a new hand blender - i didn't get it, woe is me
Have a good day all
