  • Hi Sammy, yes it is the right time!!!!
Morning Martyn :) As long as its digging people out of holes, and not "doing an eastenders" that'll be fine... :)
Beebee - that sounds quite idyllic! And a very OS way of going about things - exchanging skills, etc - was it known as bartering?
Morning Scuzz too, you popped up while I was writing - hope the theatre was good :) We'll remind you later about going to the shop!
Just caught up on the ends of yesterday's thread - gazza, I hope your sister is ok :(

Yes Squiggly it is bartering, In Feb my car needed servicing and the MOT was due, our local mechanic needed 2 windows and 2 doors painted (I'm a P/Decorator so he did the car and I did his painting, roughly took the same amount of time. Money is always short so soon after Xmas so we both had work done that we couldn't afford. Smiles all around. :j
Clear blue skies here not 1 cloud to be seen...... hope it stays like that as the car needs washing.

    Good morning everyone,

Pen Pen - Glad you had a lovley holiday!!!

kyle - hope you are feeling better today xx

Martyn - glad you are happier today!

Tierd mum - Have a wonderful holiday, im not jealous!!!

Smoky - ((HUGS)) to you and the children xxx

:hello: Taplady :hello: mrs mix :hello: Pooky :hello: Tru :hello: Taurus :hello: anniestar :hello: Busy girl
:grouphug: and :hello: to everyone who wants/needs one xxx

Was really busy yesterday, so didnt get chance to come on here - DS had football training in the morning in all that wind and rain - came in like a muddy drowned rat!!! But they love running around in the mud, so thats alright i supose. We then went to McDs and to the cinema - the children saw (and loved) the Spiderwick Cronicles, whilst i did some trailer verifications (it paid for the cinema and the lunch). Also popped into Wilkinsons and Iceland on the way home.
Anyway, today ive invited my friend and her family over for lunch - its not something i can do very often, there are 6 of them (although only 5 are coming today) and i cant afford to feed that many people, but she is so good to us, that i really wanted to do something for them (last week she bought me potatoes and fruit, and wouldnt take any money for it) so im providing the food (roast chicken, and a raspberry brule cheescake i found in Iceland yesterday for £3, it looks delicious!) and they are bringing the wine!
If they dont bring too much wine, when they leave, i will be whipping the hoover around upstairs, if not, i can do it tomorrow - im back at work, but its only older children so they can be trusted if i nip upstairs!!!

I hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Argh! The tired is trying to get me, it catching up....*blubs as a sea of tiredness overtakes*

Well, my plans for a nice tidying, potentially relaxing day yesterday were absolutley smushed into tiny weeny little piece as I got 'the call' from work to say 'someone's rung in sick and there's no-one else' (there are only four other people working my dept.) so I had to go in, coz I'm a big fat squishy softie. And I'm back there today, with an hours less sleep...grrrrr. On a brighter note if the poorly person is back tomorrow, I can have Monday off instead.

I've completely forgotten what my plan is for tea, so I'll have to check the mealplan thread (thank god its there to save me from myself) and I plan to do some bedlinen washing when I get in, so hopefully it won't be a day wasted at work. At work I plan to do some revision coz I have two tests on Tuesday, argh!!!! I hate tests.

Well, thats my ramble over with, hope everyone has a wonderful sunday, and hugs and loves to all in need/want.
When life gives you lemons......Grab a bottle of tequila and call me over!

    Good Morning All

    Happy Birthday to Miolieres OH

Glad you had a good holiday Pen-Pen

Do like extra daylight but hate losing an hour today, its very grey and wet here so am hoping DS footie has been cancelled.

I need to take DD into town to get her an outfit for a party she has tomorrow - I have fingers crossed that we will find it in the first shop we look. Will treat myself to a Starbucks whilst there.

Need to go now and put some ribs in the slow cooker, barbq ribs and fried chicken for dinner.

    Have a great day.

    Morning all

Haven't caught up on the thread for yesterday but hugs for SMOKEY, PENPIN, GAZZA'S SISTER and anyone else who wants one.

    Welcome to any new posters.

Was shattered after work yesterday. Have been wide awake since 6am:eek: .
Plan today to tidy around, have some ironing to do and DS homework. Might take him swimming in a bit. Have just booked our car parking and travel insurance for our holiday. Only a week to Fuerteventura. Have so much to do.

Dinner is roast chicken. Not sure about pud, might do rice pudding. If I'm not too tired tonight I might start my essay, if not it will be a 4am job as usual.

    Have a good day all.
