Tattycath - try wilko's - also aldi and lidl have had wool lately so might still have some in, woolworths, the works and Instore are also good bets - it will either be acrylic or fluffy probably.
I'm back from our weekend away btw - we had a lovely time. went to windsor yesterday and got there just in time for the changing of the guard. did an open top bus thingy in the wind and rain - quite literally took our breath away. We met a friend for lunch as well and then had a mooch around the town. This moring we got up to a huuuuuge breakfast and had to cycle for an hour to work it off. Need to get properly back into healthy eating though as both me and dd are carrying some extra weight. She's only 11 and I've always sort of looked down on parents who "let" their kids get overweight. We do eat pretty healthily but I think a fair bit of snacking has snuck in and I might have overdone the eggs and cheese in an effort to ensure that veggie dd gets enough protein. Luckily dd loves her fruit, veg and beans so it shouldn't be too hard.
hugs to all
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Hi celyn90 - whereabouts in Oxon are you? I live in Bicester
Well, I've watched ER and done all of DD's ironing - just mine and DH's left to do
DH and DD are currently playing guitar hero on the Wii - noisy
It's the IL's Pearl Wedding Anniversary later this month - so I'm trying to search for a suitable present - trouble is they're quite fussy and like *expensive* gifts. An idea I've come up with is some Waterford champagne flutes and a bottle of fizz - but oh my they are expensive. Do you think I could get away with giving them some bought off ebay
Anyway rambling again - take care everyone!Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Good afternoon:D
I settled down for a good read through this morning, then realised I had no time as I was running too tight for Church. I made it with 2 minutes to spare:D
I've read the thread but DH keeps interrupting me to watch bits of his old B/W films, that are oh so funny, not:rolleyes: Now I can't remember much at all.:o
Start with the important bits.

 Morning all,
Woke up with a sore throat and a banging headache - not a good sign. Did learning at home with DS2 whilst trying to combat the pounding head and the nausea. Feeling a little better now but not much.
Dough for rolls is made and rising at the moment before going into oven. Am making HM burger and chips today for lunch/dinner (going to eat an early afternoon dinner because we have tickets to see the Gruffalo's Child this afternoon at the theatre - Looking forward to that more than the kids are:rotfl:
Hardup Hester, I always look forward to your posts as you manage to make me laugh most of the time which is nice. You realy should write a book about the adventures of Katy as it would make fantastic reading :T
Happy birthday to Mioliers other half. I will be digging out my wool and needles hopefully sometime today to knit my squares also.
Benthosboy, glad you are feeling better.
Smokey and children (()) thinking of you.
Pen Pen welcome back
Catch up with you all later
