    In this weather?

What do you do when your washer bottle is frozen solid and your pump is broken from freezing up?

They take the car back to the dealer and reject it in the hope they will replace their 10 year old car for a new shiny one :rotfl::rotfl:
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.
  • i simply half fill with lukewarm water, add 5 squirts of cillit bang, then top up full with the rest of the water. Been trialling it for a month. Working well,i will be sticking to the formula.

  • The best thing to do is buy the double concentrate then make it up as you go along... that's one way of saving money.
    1 L costs about £4.

    Welcome to MSE :hello:

Always a good idea to check and compare the dilution ratios on the back of the bottle. I've found in the past that the terms super/double concentrate don't necessarily mean it's the most concentrated (or suitable) product.
  • Been using washing up liquids for absolutely decades, switching to commercial brands only in the winter for their antifreeze qualities, in all that time I have never had any issues with damage to the wash system or paintwork, unless I have wash/wax handy washing up liquid is also added to the bucket to wash the bodywork. Same as usual its a case of scaremongering, even the AA only complain about over foaming, in that case use a bit less
