Mines gone really hard. What have i done wrong? Can I add more water to it and melt up again?
i've added more water several times, seems to thicken up over timenov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.

My OH likes the branded goods so I have found a way of nit buying them and he can't moan. We both work long hours so now and then buy our groceries from the internet - Sainsburys does free delivery at certain times if you spend X amount for instance.
I then get the own brand head & shoulders, tea bags etc and when they get delivered i tell him that they must have run out and have sent these subsitutions instead. He can't moan as i tell him I ordered Head & Shoulders its not my fault they are out of stock.
He loves the Original Source Mint Shower Gel but its over £2.50 so i buy a supermarket branded one for less than a £1 and fill his bottle up. He's never noticed!
I use Baby Lotion as a make up remover and its fantastic. I bought a 500ml bottle in Boots Christmas '08 for £0.99 and it was on a BOGOF. Now 14 moths months later i am coming to the end of this bottle so make up remover for 50p that lasts 14 months is fantastic. My skin looks better as well and i swear the lines by my eyes are less noticeable. The problem is that now I have to remember where I put the BOGOF bottle 14 months ago!
I use value tinned tomatoes and baked beans and add to them shepherds pies, casseroles, lasagnes and spag bol. Baked Beans count towards your 5 a day and as they're value there is always lot of juice in them so makes the dinners lovely.
I also pop to the shops most lunchtimes even if we have had the shopping delivered and I picked a whole duck in the co-operative store last week for £2.99. It had to be eaten or frozen that day so i popped it in the freezer and we're having duck for lunch tomorrow.
I also use the slow cooker a lot and we'll often eaten lamb shoulder which takes a lot of cooking on a slow heat. I add a lamb casserole mix to the pot with vegetables and leave it cooking all day then reheat some mash. Its so cheap to buy lamb shoulder (about £4 for half a shoulder) and if I'm going to be cooking carrots and onions all day in the slow cooker i buy value ones. You can't tell the difference when they've been slow cooked with spices all day.
I love the idea of using cheap bat foam or shower foam and decanting it into containers as hand wash. I am always washing my hands and the soap seems to go really quickly so I'm going to try that as soon as the soap runs out.Trying to save money and always open to ideas and expecting our first child in March 2015.0 -
I forgot to say i also have a tesco clubcard, a nectar card a co-op card, a morrisons miles card for petrol and a boots card. The points really add up and as i have them all it doesn't dictate where i shop but it does mean that i get extra money. I've never used the points on my boots card and had 4000 odd so i asked the lady how much that was in money and shocked when she said £40. I got all my shopping for free with the points.Trying to save money and always open to ideas and expecting our first child in March 2015.0

Great ideas. I have noticed that pound shops sell original source products so you may be able to find them there.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0 -

The points do add up - we have Nectar points of about £60 value currently - going to go to Vue cinema with them sometime soon to see Percy Jackson film with my daughter.0 -

This post made me go "whaaaa????" for a second - until I realised it wasn't a continuation of the discussion just above it, which was all about cleaning teeth...0 -
Sainsbirys still stock the powder scouring powder but its now sold in a plastic dispenser rather than in the cardboard tube with metal ends. I still but it as its cheap and a luttle goes a long way - especially good for shining up stainless steel sinks.:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls
