oooohhh i just received a shedload of bulldog clips in a job lot of office supplies i got off freecycle and was wondering how i could use them

so far i've used 4 to clip a medium weight bed covering over my bedroom curtains, blocks out light, cold air and was no sew! (i don't do anything other than get dressed or sleep in there so i don't need to open the curtains often)

now with this tip i'll have use for at least 2 more, i even have two fiddly wee ones perfect for the job, thank you! :T

I havn't done this for a while but I used to pour a little nail varnish remover into an old nail varnish if it got a little too thick (old!) then give it a really good shake! its like new then! ;)

if anyone does altered art and/or scrapbooking i found that unwanted nail varnish makes really superb 'paint' in your projects. also you can thin it down quite a bit and of course it's got a brush built right in!

I sent my student son the email from MSE this week and he saved £26 by going on the bus to London instead of the train :jtrain was £27 each way but as buses didn't go late at night he could only use the bus 1 way.Just goes to show the email is worth checking for bargains each week:j

    Hi Elljay

I use the clean side of my facial wipes to wipe around the hand basin.
    Am I weird?

I use some facial wipes I got free to trial as hankies around the house when I have the sneezes...very soft but not nice enough to use when outside. They wash well.

I have just saved the cellophane from bouquet of flowers that I was sent unexpectedly on Saturday. I hope to use it to wrap around hm bathbombs and tie with a ribbon.
    Aril

A few years ago I bought a whole roll of clear cellophane (can't remember where I got it now) and it has been SO useful.

If use it to wrap jars of HM preserves and presents of cookies etc which make a hostess or small birthday gift look extra special, or to wrap christmas and birthday gifts to shooz them up a bit. I also use some rolls of ribbon I found extra extra cheap and use extravagant curls of that round the tied part.
