Haha. Don't suppose you do the same with your pizza (not putting it in a bottle of course)? I wrap what I can't eat in a napkin and have it for my lunch the following day.
i always take home uneaten food from restaurants, i don't care if they think me odd, i payed for it and i won't waste it. if i know i'm going somewhere that isn't likely to have any take away containers i'll put some plastic bags in my bag before i go for this very purpose...waste not want not
just be sure you eat the soup first and leave the more solid items to take home :rotfl:0 -
Thanks for all your great suggestions. This is a great thread.
When I am having a shower I have started to leave the soap on my body without rinsing it off and then add the body scrub, this way I need much less scrub. The tube seems to last at least 3 times longer now.
Now I have started to think about making my own body scrub. Has anyone tried it? If so, how do I make it?
Have a nice bank holiday weekend. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

A really simple scrub is sugar or salt and oil. You can also grate up a bar of soap to mix into it and this will help the oil to emulsify with the water on your body.
However, please be aware that if you make more than enough to use for a couple of showers, it won't last for very long as you will have introduced water into it when scooping it out and this will be unpreserved.
Commercial body scrubs always have a preservative added for this reason.0 -
very pleased to buy some "posh" tights at 70% off then blue cross so another 20% off but had to laugh when I read about the up to date technology that stopped little holes going to ladders. When I started to wear tights soon after they were invented(ok that shows how ancient I am !!!)they also had this"up to date technology"They lasted ages and I presumed they stopped making them as no one was buying anymore, maybe that's why the new ones I got were reduced as they have now stopped making them!!!!!0

on our recent late night shop I went to price a cooker at the "never knowingly undersold shop" (I had already priced it online) and was shocked to find it was over £200 more,ok so you get an extra years warrenty and free delivery but if I buy online I get points from the supplier plus points on a cash back site....:)the sales man actually said "I'd bite their hand off anf buy it straight away"0

I always ask for the staff to wrap my leftovers up for me to take home. I don't think the staff care either way as long as I leave a tip and have been a pleasant customer!!:D
I will always take a voucher will me too, if I can find any:p0 -
trumpettrousers wrote: »I love Jumble Sales and much prefer them to Car Boots. You can get plenty of bargains from 10p upwards. I have had lovely Per Una Tops and skirts, laundered them worn them for a while and when I have got fed up with them or more truthfully put weight on so they don't fit anymore I have taken them to the dress agency where they sell them for you and take 50% approx. Eg. Bought a top for 10p at jumble sale - Took it to dress agency where she sells for £4.99 - once sold I get £2.50.....Ker...ching!!!!
I haven't seen a jumble sale advertised in years. I used to love them and they were certainly much cheaper than the car boot sales!0 -

I too can remember when tights first came in and they were VERY expensive (the equivalent to a whole weeks pocket money:eek:)so I used to buy stretch (as opposed to fitted) stockings and sew them to my (big, Bridget Jones style) pants.:p0
