I am going to findout more about the qualifications I need to be able to teach, or if I can just set up. I know that while on ESA I can earn up to £92 a week, as long as I do less then 16 hours. So teaching a night class or something might be possible. I know one thing though. Before I set any prices I am going to study first becuase when I was a dressmaker in the 90's I under priced myself and had to work like trojan to earn a living.!
My veg patch is beginning to look quite healthy (apart from the cabbages that are being eaten by everything out there), and I am hoping I will save on my weekly shop this week, by eating the carrots and possbly the onions. If the weathe is nice enough, I might pick some lettuce?
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

just been costing a winter holiday(cheaper than sumer and not so hot and a cheerful start to long cold days(tho isn't that what this summer has been?????)Always thought money saving comparason sites were supposed to offer best deals....not so costed a flight to Tenerife on a number of sites and all way above what the individual airline site shows(actually double in some places)

also doing your own package can be cheaper, but not always by very much.It can take time to sort out all the info online(just spent all morning looking for best deal) but its worth it for savings. Also do take into account flight times on package holidays as you may end up with late night flights at airports further from home.I was surprized to see that transfer are not included in package holidays now.Checking for 4 or 5 star hotels in Tenerife found many of the 4 * more expensive than 5* in same area

did anyone watch economy gastronomy last night?can't beleive how much the family spent each week on junk food and why the BBC should think they were a normal family!!Even the budget the chefs gave them was way over what I spend on (good) food each week.....they got £130 for a family of 2 adults ,a 9 year old and twins aged 2

Rosemary. They probably have to get an extreme example to make it seem like they are saving money. They should come to us for tips!! I had to switch it off.. I was so horrified -both at the family but also at the advice given. Thats not really being frugal, that's just playing at it!!!!

wow what a lot of comments, never heard of it till last night, just watched cos OH away.wish he had been home ,maybe he would appreciate me more:j
  • We watched it = hubby was groaning though and saying did it tell us anything we didn't already know etc etc. Having learned so much from being on this website about using up leftovers and shopping wisely for several years now he was obviously feeling very virtuous!
I enjoyed it though and I loved the way the twins were tucking into anything and everything they were given while the 9 year old pulled faces!

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
