I personally do not find vinegar very MSE as I am able to find much cheaper fabric conditioner. I understand that some people can buy it in 5 litre bottles very cheaply and also there may be allergy reasons for using it.I am currently mad for the Fairy Almond Milk and Honey FC. It is a little expensive but a little goes a long way.

PS its the white distilled vinegar, currently cheapest at Morrisons I think, but even that is creeping up in price. About 60p a bottle 500mls.

Could any one tell me what can and cannot be frozen?
Apart from the obvious like things out of the freezer isles :)

I know bread and milk are alright? What kind of meals can you freeze? What about cheese? Yoghurt? Salad?

Me, too, but don't reckon it'll happen until he finishes uni. But then I guess he'll just get himself a credit card. Which he's already done before. And not paid. The bank and c/card companies will luuurvvve him!:j:eek:

Just had one of those 'why do I even bother' moments.
Was feeling all excited at the prospect of handing in some stuff to charity shop, mainly because I thought they'd be greatful and I love it when you can return someone's smile.
How wrong I was. Went in there, and the girl on the other side of the till just stared at me blankly when I handed the stuff over (which prompted me to make sure it was ok to hand stuff in - how stupid is that?). The only words she said to me were, 'So long as it's not electrical' and 'No that's fine [because I sat on the cd case]'. No word of thanks. Nothing. And people wonder why others don't do good deeds anymore.
Then, to cap it all off, I thought I'd hand in all the (up to date) magazines I'd bought to the Library, thinking people would enjoy reading them without having to buy them, but they didn't want them. Made me feel quite upset (although let down was really from failure of charity shop mission).

    *sigh*

Anyway, hope you're all having a good day.

Money saving tip: Don't always use conditioner. I've found my hair is no different if I don't bother.

  • I was looking round a charity shop and while I was in there a woman came in with LOADS of stuff and the woman took a quick glance, stuck her nose in the air and said ''no, i don't think so, try one of those 'other' shops, they might take it" the stuff looked ok from where I was, how can you be a snob and work in a charity shop.

Back to saving pennies, i know its prob already been mentioned but make sure you check with work if you have access to any form of discounts, i can get discount on buying vouchers for loads of different shops, like 5% off asda, have to buy in bundles of £100 but can make quite a difference over a yr.
