We did this - twice - since we had so many guests on Mother's Day. We had the two chickens on the day, saving two breasts, which are frozen, and then I made stock with the carcasses, which we are having as soup today and risotto tomorrow. The parsnips got mashed with cream and the carrots were steamed. We still have lots of spuds left. I know I should be buying free range meat but it seemed too good to miss.
was this only instore? I can't find it online.
  • A great tip I have is to hang all my washing that needs ironing in the bathroom after a shower and the steam will do it for you! x

best thing to do is buy online(no postage :j ) a 3 month one(used to be 4 months so when they changed the price we thought it got cheaper:mad: very sneaky) then stock up at the beginning and end of time period and go without 1 for a month or so before renewing so works out cheaper than buying a yearly one :j :j :j

How do you stock up? My doctor won't give me 4 months supply of pills in a 3 month period. Even when I put my repeat prescription form in a few days early, just because I happen to be passing the doctors, I have to explain why I want the pills early.

    thought of some more tips:

Don't waste money on expensive magazines and newspapers - read them online for free!

If you do buy magazines, share them around at work and encourage colleagues to do the same.

Don't dry clean clothes unless absolutely necessary - most items (suits excepted) can be washed on a gentle wash

Tell them you're going on holiday and won't be around to pick up the prescription if you wait until you run out?

silk can be hand washed and for "dry clean" only items buy a product called svit ,a large bag you use in your tumble dryer with a special sheet, once you have the bag you can buy refil sheets, works well and a lot cheaper than dry cleaners:j
