Nooo but if you slather hand/foot cream on your feet and then put the socks on you can go to bed without greasing up the sheets and have nice soft feet in the morning!
I do this...any type of cream works, personally I use cheap cream and an old pair of socks...bit of a mucky business though!
You can also do it with your hands and still use socks...feels strange but the rewards are good!
dont be caught out by the places trying to sell you specialised socks/gloves for this sort of thing...old socks work just as well...trainer socks are best for hands btw!SPC Member #1654

Hey! I only did that every weekend when I was a student and that's allowed! Now I just put it in my wash basket and it magically gets cleaned. Magic!
Seriously, my rents are brilliant to me which is why I use this site to learn how I can be brilliant when I do finally get on the housing ladder.
This is a fab thread and a fab forum section. How long til pay day?

If you've got long hair drying it can take forever, if you do use a hairdryer here's how I found I could cut down on the time I needed to use my hairdryer and straighteners for:-
After seeing microfibre sports towel were popular I'd spotted a microfibre hair wrap in Poundland so bought one to try. I get as much of the water out of my hair as I can (try not to squeeze your hair too hard as its brittle when wet, don't laugh I usually give my hair a good shake!) Then put the microfibre wrap on. If the heating has been on I'll leave the wrap over the radiator in the bathroom to make sure its bone dry. I leave my hair in the wrap at least 10 minutes while I get breakfast, clothes sorted etc.
Then I put the hairdryer on the highest heat (keeping it at least 10 inches from my hair) and blast it for about 30 seconds. Then section it and blow dry on a medium heat. When it comes to straightening I section it again as it means I don't have to go over the same bit more than once. This usually takes me about 10 minutes start to finish and I have waist length wavy hair. Before using the microfibre wrap and just wrapping my hair in a towel it would take me about 25 minutes to blow dry and straighten my hair. So its not only saved me time its saved money on electricity!
Make up:-
a drop of wheatgerm, jojoba or even olive oil will rehydrate the dregs of mascara to last an extra week.
I scrape out all the ends of lipstick into empty lip palates to make new lipstick or mix with a little vaseline to get lip gloss.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
I have a 6 month old and we've just started weaning onto puree's. Instead of buying expensive weaning tubs etc I've been using old yoghurt pots to freeze up batches of purees (sterilising them of course!) Tried the ice cube trays for this but she's eating so much now yoghurt pots better as they are bigger.
I mix body lotion with the holiday skin stuff - makes it go a bit further
Growing own veg this summer (if they actually grow!!) trying to eat seasonally.
