Energy saving bulbs don't get as hot I believe so the oil wouldn't burn off.

I have heard that if you pee on your hands it makes them nice and soft, no need for hand cream. Not tried it myself. Suspicious of men with soft hands now:D

Have you got a link to that item, or a name to search for on the website please? I can't find any foaming dispenser on there at all, so they've either stopped doing it (hope not) or I'm not using the right search terms.

I've had a look and can't find it but have emailed them about it. I'll let you know when I get a reply :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

About the pee, my mum is adamant that builders pee on their hands as it toughens 'em up!

Another tip. A drop of essential oil on a clean dry light bulb will freshen the room when the bulb is switched on.

Seems an interesting idea but is it 100% safe? No chance of the bulb cracking as the oil gets hot ?
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o

I use one of these instead of brillo pads:

They last for months and you can always use a bit of washing up liquid if you need soap.

Edited to add: Mine doesn't have the blue handle mentioned in the review. It's just the ball of steel.
