Finally ordered the rings today from the beautiful company so something else off the list.

Invites are still sat on the table though...................it's been a busy week.

Finally got OH to fill in the form for the registrar and discuss cakes.
May now be having a tower of buns instead of M&S cake!

Have emailed venue to check about provisions for music tables and rules re confetti.

Feel like things are coming together now.

glad to see everyone is getting things done, i have next week off cause its half term and lucky old me gets all the half terms off with the kids yah (or not sometimes yah)

Cake is now sorted.

Definitely sorted now - tier of buns with proper cake on top
Friend is making it as a gift so free.

Got 7.5% discount on rings with a voucher from toluna points as well.

How is everyone doing now?

Oh and I had a weekend away and finally got to sit down and discuss everything that needed sorting. Was much easier without the normal distractions.

Invitations are now posted / handed to my mother for distribution.
DS tried suit on which looked lovely but he refused point blank to have any photos taken.
Have found car - chrysler 300 - still more than I wanted to pay but OH loves it
Friend came for tea last night and we discussed decorations for fairy cakes and found a bouquet that she is going to copy for me (has told me not to cut the ivy back in the garden as she'll need it :rolleyes:)
Am now trying to sort disco as think £275 from venue is too expensive - waiting for quotes.
Taking said friend plus another one to venue in 2 weeks to have further look round at tables etc.

Will order bowls for table decorations and port miniatures on Friday as it's payday then.

I feel like I a really getting on top of it now which is a relief at its all coming up very quickly now.

aww thank you. yeh, quite a lot of things have been done but im quite nervous as my dress still hasnt come in sticking to our student budget of 4k quite well tho so proud of that!!

Where is you dress coming from? I'm fed up with having to move mine out of the spare room everytime DS stays for the weekend.

Have now got quote for DJ - £150 which is £125 cheaper than the quote from the hotel :T

Plucked up the courage to stop at the Clinique counter in John Lewis today - foundation I need was out of stock but have booked a further appointment for the week after next for a proper trial and colour consultation. Don't want to end up looking like the scary woman who was there today though. I don't think I could afford that much eyeliner :eek:

i know they all look so overdone on the counters but out of most of them debenhams counters (still a couple to try) i like the clinique, have you looked on ebay for it.

have a dress fitting this morning so not looking forward to it
