    Hi guys

Had a lovely weekend and lovely to see the family again.

The drive up was S L O W and lots of jams round Nottingham, Oxford and the New Forest.

We stayed the Holiday Express in Denby Dale, Wakefield and in the past thought it was really great and even posted great comments on travel forums about how exceptionally good it was and has been for 7 years. My other family members took our advice and booked a room for two nights on our recommendation. We even got good prices too.

We had a good sleep the first night but they have so gone downhill. They thought we had booked 4 rooms and didn't acknowledge our telephone confirmation of wanting the right rooms. We did get the top floor we requested but our son didn't but was OK about it. They didn't replace a broken lightbulb after asking for it to be done - basically in one ear and out of the other attitude. They didn't leave enough towels and a horrible receptionist was very rude about giving us some more towels.

We noticed a large 30 person coach party checking in on the Saturday (all lads). We went out until 1am and when we were getting off to sleep we were all kept awake from 3am to around 5am every 10 minutes loud men in the hall. My niece was feeling ill and didn't get a wink of sleep and I felt mental after being woken up every 10 minutes in the night.

There was no breakfast left for us when we went down today (Sunday) either.

When we checked out we complained about how we were disturbed and even their bus driver refused to leave till 12pm due to his disturbed sleep. Our family members agreed we should all get a refund due to not getting any sleep.

The receptionist was really hostile to me and when I said I was kept awake from 3am to 5am - she seemed to take offence at me saying that and was highly offensive and inflammatory to us after that.

We called the site manager, after she said there wasn't a manager, so she lied and he wasn't much better tbh and thought I was telling him how to do his job (those words were not spoken from my lips)

We are talking to the organ grinder (hotel manager) on Tuesday to make sure we are refunded and to pass on how offended we were at how we were treated today.

Apparently, they are not meant to allow large parties at this hotel but it didn't stop them getting checked in and several people losing sleep and possible being a danger on the roads due to getting tired after not getting a decent sleep.

They said we should have rung at the time but you think they have stopped arriving and it would wake us up having to talk to these unfeeling inflammatory monsters.

These people are devoid of any compassion and take offence at people saying they didn't sleep.

I am so sick of inflammatory amateurs who deal with the public.

Why the heck are all these people from secondary school adding me on Facebook? Most of them didn't even like me, and why the heck did my ex who apparently hates me add me on Facebook?

    I sense ulterior motives......

.....or they could just be surprised that I'm not a geek anymore, but I'm going with the ulterior motives thing at the moment....
