    Go for it! :p

Yes, but the thing is, in my mind, a person who has an ED is thin, and I'm the hugest person ever.

What happens there? Will you let me know? I hope it goes well for you xx

No idea what will happen, I'll let you know :)

I'm absolutely huge, I'm technically super obese or something, so I feel really silly. Just hope the clinic isn't filled with super thin girls, that wouldn't help.

I for one know how depression can affect your day to day life and that everything seems so pointless, but when times are low you all have had the power to come over that feeling and if you can do it once you can do it again.
I would just like to say to anyone who feels as though things are getting on top of them that things will get better, in time, it wont be right away but in the end you will find away to cope with the feelings thtat you have.
If you ever ned someone to talk to or have a shout at anyone on this thread is willing to lisen.
I would like to recommend that if anyone needs to talk to someone then they are free to contact any of the following numbers:

Also, seeing as you are all so knowledgeable, I wondered if there was anything I could do to get therapy? I've been told I need CBT, DBT and Pyschotherpay, but cannot have CBT or DBT because 'the waiting list is closed'. I'm not able to have Pyschotherapy because I'm self-harming. GP said that I need long-term therapy, so if I'm going to leave my partner, it might not be wise to build up a relationship with a therapist, when I'll only end up having to stop seeing them.

I don't know. I am being referred so just have to wait til I hear.
I had counselling, mine was rubbish but it does help some people.
You just ask your doctor to be reffered.
That is the only therapy I know of really. Sorry x

I can't be refered unfortunately. I wondered if I could complain or demand it. Or if its a case of going private or going without :(

Keep us infomed about the referal, I hope it is quick and they are able to reassure you and put your mind at rest. Not knowing is scary, but I've heard loads of people on the thread mentioned CPNs, so hopefully one of them will be able to tell you more about them!

    hi,
strange day im havin.....mum keeps callin me up, cant get a word in as per with her.on about vandals at empty house next door.mum keeps fonin owner, who keeps tellin her that her soliciters dealin with sellin the house and mum should just ring police.
she has but as its not emergency they take yonks.vandals are tryin to take lead and leccy wires and messin with gas box.
told mum to tell owner to get off her **** and come and deal with it but all she says is that shes spent loads puttin metal grills up and she drives by every day(????).....mum is 70 and lives on own.
i do feel sorry for her but she keeps on and on and on ....and when i give her advice, cos dh is police(i know, sorry...another cross i bear:) ).......she wont take it:mad: and then she says shes told nextdoor owner off and made it plain....but i know she hasnt cos shes not like that, iykwim,.mums rightly scared of upsetting some of the nutters who live across cos she has to live there.
i try my best to tell her the right stuff and i may as well talk to the wall cos all shes doing is winding me up about a problem thats getting out of all proportion.she always has to make a drama out of everything....and she gets me so riled up that its always my fault and i wasnt even anything to do with it.....then she wonders why im stressed and bad tempered
i feel awful cos shes my mum and shes alone there but its getting like i dont want to answer the fone cos she goes over the same stuff all the time and i feel like screaming......but i dont want to upset her cos shes my mum and it would look like i didnt care, then she wouldnt call at all,...big row....fall out....all over that stupid moo next door.
see what she does to me, one minute im a normal ,reasonably happy person then im stressed and bad tempered and i dont want to take it out on ds cos hes done nothing......then if i say anything to her, im the one in the wrong.

sorry about the rant.i had to get that off my chest.

otherwise its not been a bad day:D
    hugs to all.
    love ilgd xx
People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with :)

CPNs are only given to people suffering serious mental health issues (dont be worried to people who have a CPN)
You can complain to your local NHS trust that you believe you should have one but you would need some history of a mental helath issue and who they feel needs medical help soon

Does Borderline Personality Disorder, dysthymia, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia, Alcoholism and Bulimia count as serious? I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, and why I don't seem to get any help. What do I have to do to get some support?

Have you tried speaking with your GP?
If you have, can you try seeing another one?
If the above fails you maybe best to present yourself to your local accident and emergency department who then after assesment will call upon an emergency on call CPN.
If you dont want to do any of the above then you may be best writing to your local NHS Trust with your concerns, it might help for someone to go with you to the doctors.
