Strangle him. I'm sure you'll get all the help you need them. Two bird and all that?
On a more serious note, I've known people to be in a similar situation, actively asking for help from their doctor etc, and getting !!!! all. It's outrageous. You're obviously not an attention seeker, you're genuinely ill.
The way the mentally ill are treated in some areas is shockingly bad. Saying the waiting list is long is one thing, but saying it's closed? I think it's writing to your MP/local papers time. They can't just turn away ill people. If it happened to people with cancer, or junkies, there'd be an outcry, but generally society doesn't give two !!!!!! about us.
That's fine though, society doesn't NEED to care. The NHS *NEEDS* to care. It's their job, !!!!!!.
I know it can be hard to assert yourself when you're not well, but you seem to be able to ask for help at least, so good on you. Don't take no for an answer though. Make a stink about it. MP, papers, whatever else you can think of. Given your list of conditions, you seem pretty at risk to me.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Thanks Weegie. I desperately want to kick up a huge fuss, but I'm too scared.

It shouldn't be down to the ill person to kick up a fuss, but sometimes we have to.
I don't know the back story (and if I did I'd have forgotten it by now - no memory whatsoever hehe), but you need to convince him to take you to A&E? And he doesn't want to talk/help? I know when we're feeling down we can exaggerate and/or lash out, but if that's even half true he sounds like an !!!!!!. From the sounds of it you've been ill a while, so it's not as if he's not used to dealing with you when you're not doing so well.
I've been in your OH's position, and I don't think it was purely my personal experience and insight into MH issues that made me want to help out. He might not understand what's going on, but he should at least make the effort to help you where he can. He'll feel useless at lot of the time, so surely the instances where he can do something (even if it's just drive you to A&E) he should jump at?
I don't know any more that I've said here, but it sounds to me like the relationship is doing you more harm than good. There may well be other factors, but if he can't be bothered driving you to the hospital when you ask... Hell, the number of times I tried to convince an ex to go to A&E... He should be glad you WANT to go.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

 Hello all, just catching up.
dawnylou I don't think there is a great difference between psychotherapy and counselling. I'm currently being referred for psychotherapy, so will let you know.
Is your job part of the problem or do you actually enjoy it? It sounds like it's quite a stressful environment that you work in.
How was your appointment?
shazrobo It's lovely to see you back. I'm glad to hear that you and the boys had a good holidayDo you feel better for it? What did you do during your holiday?
Tyler Durden UK Welcome to the thread. Sorry that I'm late in welcoming you. I see that you've received quite a few replies so I won't repeat what others have already said. I hope you find this thread helpful.
Sazbo I hope you are feeling better (((HUGS)))

rose Hey hun, when is the move?
top_drawer When you see your counsellor on Fri. maybe you could mention that you feel you still need some more support. It doesn't seem fair that they would just leave you.
(((HUGS))) I'm sorry to hear that you haven't had a good time at home. Do you usually get on well with your Mum or is the way she's behaving quite normal for her?
I didn't have toothache hun, I think that might have been rose.
ilovegreatdanes I watched the final of Britain's got talent and that Nancy programme. It was so sweet when they won. Extremely talented people.
 @ Fern Brittan. Why do celebs lie.
LM How's things? How is your skin? I really hate my skin. It's prone to spots, gets quite dry in certain places because of the benzoyl peroxide that I use and throughout the day it becomes shiny/greasynothing seems to work.
Do you wear a lot of make up?
Hi CCStar Sorry to hear about the hotel. What poor service. I really hope they give you a refund. I hope it didn't completely ruin your weekend.
Hi Night-owl
