i tried some pantene shampoo and conditioner...(another freebie:o )and found that very good.dont use conditioner usually as it makes my hair greasy but that was ok stuff.i have very greasy hair which i ought to wash every day, its also really fine.
if you use conditioner, just put it on the ends cos putting it on the roots makes it more greasy.
have you tried the dry shampoos?they are a good quick fix when you cant be bothered.i even try talc sometimes but you have to brush it out realy well or you go grey:D .....not a good look at my age:rotfl:
the head and shoulders sensitive stuffs ok as well

At the moment I use Herbal Essences as I'm a sucker for any shampoo that smells delicious. :rotfl:

I only condition the ends of my hair for the very same reason about the greasy roots. The roots are the only part of my hair that is greasy but it makes my hair separate if you know what I mean? So instead of all my hair being together, I'll have hair hanging down the side of my face, a little gap and then the rest of my hair.lol.

    I'll give Pantene a go though. I'll try anything.lol.
I've never tried dry shampoo before. Is it easy to get hold of?
:rotfl:at the talc.lol. My foster mum used to have a go at me because I used to use talc just to get nice smooth skin and she said it can clog pores and then you don't sweat and then you'll have all manner of problems. =/ I still use it though. :rotfl:

you sound alot like me when i was young.
you are not an oddball.....you are a wonderful, unique child of the universe......just like me:)

I'm so glad my skin calmed down. I was a typical geek with glasses, bad acne and my head in a book all the time. Not to mention horrible teeth but now my acne has cleared up, my teeth are a lot straighter but I still wear glasses and have my head in a book :rotfl:Some parts of me will never change.lol.

    Hi,

Lady M - Ive had years of problems with painful acne (mainly around nose and forehead) and greasiness in the same areas.

I was prescribed some cream but it made my skin peel and my Dr who seemed to against prescribing anything wouldnt refer me as its a teenage thing which he claimed would pass.

I have recently discovered Lush which do some amazing stuff for greasy skin; Im currently using some sort of seaweed based cleansing creame/bar part of getting to you face involves massaging and Im convinced this is causing better circulation = less spots. I know they do another even stronger one which wasnt in at the time I was buying mine though. In addition once every three days I use Liz Earle's cleanse and polish. She has a huge reputation for developing products for problem skin and her philosophy is quite similar to that of the OCM (I only looked over the site awhile ago and decided to go with Lush/Liz Earle but its next on my list if it hadnt worked). I cant afford her entire range at the moment but I would definitely have a bob over to her site and have a look around and the same with lush as they always seem to be bring out new products.

In short I have changed my entire philosophy about (my) greasy skin, I have always used the harsh products promoted by the makeup counters (Clinque toning thing) as I felt the need to get rid of this almost dirty "look" about my skin. These products fulfilled that in the short term but in the medium term by early evening my skin is as greasy as ever... Now I think the greasiness/acne were probably symtoms caused by these products and I am now investing in gentler products. I must admit though it did take a couple of weeks before I started to see an effect ... in which time I used The Body Shop tea tree oil patch thingys.

I've also discovered their hair shampoo bars - amazing and very cost effective too!!

I have no alliegance to any of these product line and Im sorry for posting such a long one but its something I have had a complete revelation about recently, I may have a touch of "Recovered/Enlightened Sydrome" that people seem to get when they've discovered something life changing - a bit like new Christians.

    Jen
