I'm the same - I use carrier bags for the bin in the kitchen and also for the dog poop bag. I'll have to buy some bags - which defeats the object of stopping free carrier bags!

But not everyone was reusing the bags and they are frequently seen roaming the streets and beaches all on their own. Currently there are loads of them which only get get used once, it's difficult to change something in a way that will suit everyone but surely if it cuts down on the pollution it's a good thing?

My dog is asleep on the sofa, she would be most fed up if I took her out in the cold :rotfl:

A lot of the bags we get rip during first use, so cant be re-used.

which just adds to the waste. lots of energy being used to make a bag that you can't even reuse once - much better off with the wally trolly.

I agree with the eco reasons behind the supermarkets not giving out bags free but am still wondering what to use for my bin as an alternative.

I think you can buy bin bags out of the pound shop Ellidee, just realised I've been misreading your name for ages always thought you were Eilidh...

Ooh that sounds much nicer - sort of Celtic - wish I'd thought of that because I've gone off my username now - makes me sound young and I am afraid I'm not ! :rotfl:
