i make it to be 36 this year ...i was climbing blind folded through and assault course the other day ...i now feel every single one of my 35 years
Part of my problem is that I dont feel any more grown up now than I did 20 years ago. I'm often to be found climbing up the climbing wall at school or scooting round the playground (when no-one's watching, of course)
After a week of that, I had to take to my bed last night, with 2 paracetamol and some deep heat :rotfl:
My DD (she's 12) is much more mature, and often tells me to behave, turn my music down etcIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I think it's great they are trying to get rid of all the plastic bags though but seeing I only shop once a week and need to drive there's no real need for a wally trolly spud - however funky!
I shop weekly too, and it's literally round the corner (I can see tesco from the bedroom windows if I try)
The trouble is, we use so much milk, plus I have to buy supplies for work, I usually drive because the shopping is so heavy
But if I had a trolley..........Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I'm just approaching 39, biggie next year
I think it's the tightwad in me that will REFUSE to buy placcy bags when the shops start charging. The thought of being able to wheel my shopping home quite appeals to me
Hi Spud
I am ten years younger than you but have been toying with the idea of a wally-trolley for the last year:T - but then I do have no shame:D. (Am tempted by the ones in IKEA but then I am tempted by lots of stuff in IKEA)
Mind you I have so many reuseable bags in different materials that I think I may just have something of an obsession with shopping bags now I have put the handbags obsession to bed.
WHile I am wafflng on about obsessions, when I helped my OH move a while back we unearthed and sponge scourer obsession of his, he must have had about seven unopened packs (big packs with 20+ in) and a load more opened packs - now that is WEIRD.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

no one ever does feel any different really - of the people I've spoken to anyway. I've had the same conversion with a couple of 80 year olds! (not the wall climbing bit though:D )
I used to end up with DS's scooter when we were down the beach and he ran off to kick a ball or something and it's easier to use than carry but why is it always THEN that you meet folk you know??? having acted like a reasonable adult all day I bump into people I haven't seen in ages while on a scooter and no kid in sight.:oMortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

When the supermarkets stop giving out free bags what will I use to line the kitchen bin ? Will I have to buy bin liners ?
What do other peeps use ?

When my mum died, I found out just how obsessed she was with tights. It turned out that when she first got married and had nowt, she could rarely afford to buy them, so years later she used to get extra whenever she had an extra few quid to spare. There were dozens of pairs :rolleyes:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Exactly, we use them for that too. We also use them as poop bags when we take the dog out every day. Ours definitely get re-used.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
