I have some lovely handcream at the mo from Lancome called Caresse Mains. This handcream is both moisturising and repairing, it strengthens nails and has a silk glove effect even after you have washed your hands. Its not cheap at around £19 a tube but you don't need to use a lot so it lasts a long time.

My hands are in out of water because I can't be bothered to wear rubber gloves when I am doing the washing up and I have noticed a difference in the condition of my skin since I started using this product.

I got this cream because I couldnt afford my normal Dermalogica brand and anyway a change is as good as a rest.
  • I've had eczema all my life (31 years) previously only on my body but it decided to move to my face (joy!). After much searching I swear by Origins Mega Mushroom range. Amazingly my skin is soft and eczema free!

For your body I'd recommend Epaderm - you can get it on prescription or buy it over the counter (more expensive). It's like wax and not good as a daily moisturiser but fantastic overnight. It can also be used as a cleanser or bath emolient.

One tip - try and avoid products with lanolin in them. It works for me.

    Hi peeps!

I have to recommend eucerin blue top for very dry skin. I use it as a night cream and on my hands (elbows knees decolette area) when they need it.

As a night cream it works better than anything else I've tried for anti wrinkle effects and you get quite a lot for your £9 :)

For daytime they do a few which are lighter but you need to get on line as I can't find em on the shelves of Boots or Supedrug although they stock the blue top.

Best way to protect hands is to use gloves. I often use cream within the gloves when washing up as the heat seems to help the absorbtion :)

Hi all just wanted to say I have a blog now :j
    http://savingsnow.blogspot.com/

I have several homemade beauty product recipes on there as well as some other home made things like cleaning products and also some recipes for food too...

Shea butter & jojoba form a good part of my beauty regime now, including my homemade make-up removed which is also on the blog - works well for me so far and I still have lots of the natural ingredients from ebay left over to use again and again.

Please become a Follower of the blog if you can so I know who''s reading :T

Have you tried Temple Spa products? YOu can buy in Harrods or Selfridges or you can have a class at home. It's really different to other party plan. A skin care consultant comes to your home, you simply invite a bunch of 6-8 girls who love skincare/have specific issues to resolve with their skin. You get a consultation each and then do a whole cleanse, tone, mask and moisturise with products suitable for your skin type. It's ideal try before you buy, better than just a quick 5 mins in the dept. store. You get lots of freebies just for hosting a class. Their sensitive range is wonderful!
GReat BOGOF, if you have a class in March: Buy on Exalt neck gel//get one free. Perfect Mothers days gifts for your Mum and Mother in-law......

Have you tried Palm Balm from Templespa.com? It's £18, I've never felt a texture like it. Not greasy, not cream just sinks in. Nice herby smell.

Have you tried Temple Spa products? Their sensitive skin range is fabulous for dry, sensitive skin. 3 of their consultants joined because they used the products on their skin and found they worked. You can have a consultant come to your house and if you have a class ( see their website https://www.templespa.com) you get to try out the complete range. So much better than buying before you try!!!

Sorry, not sure why my message would be spammed?
First time I've emailed the forum so apologies if I've offended anyone by mistake.
Temple Spa stuff is great and yes I've become a consultant for them because i like and believe in their products. I truly have had people who've used expensive brands, many that you are mentioning and have had a class and love TS.
You get lots of free stuff for hosting a class PLUS you get proper skincare advice so you avoid making costly mistakes.
Seems to me you've spammed me because you assume all company representatives are 'evil'. I make an extra income from Temple Spa so hey, isn't this in the spirit of the site?
