In fact other than the fact my arms was a bit sore for a couple of days after it went in I forget its there most of the time. Drop me a PM if you want more info.
It's very educational this thread, isn't it! I had to scrawl back several pages to find the beginning of the story. It just shows that even if something may appear to be MS, it isn't necessarily. You could be doing a whole load of MS at home in the time it would take to make the trip as well.
Just a thought, do they do phone appointments for people in outlying districts. I can get a phone appointment with my doctor, which is handy, as it means I can time it between lessons at work, whereas I wouldn't be able to get there and back in the same time. If no diagnostics are necessary.... BP, tests etc... then surely it may be possible, or maybe you could suggest it to the clinic. They could post the stuff out for you, though you might have to offer to pay the postage."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi there Moniker thanks for the reply, I usually go to MrT, but tried Asda this morning.
There was the odd whoopsy, but these items I don`t usually buy so wasn`t worth me putting in my trolley. I spent £51.93 this week, which I was pleased about:j, as I usually spend £100+ a week on food:eek:(before I started the challenge for me, OH, DS1, DS2)and some of the items were bulk buys so saved a few pennies with that. Some of the items were cheaper then MrT so may try Asda again next week.

Welshlassie I had mine fitted today, hasn't hurt yet, didn't realise they give a local to put it in, over the moon. I had the injection before that for 7 years, like you have had one or 2 spots. Saves me a fortune! Just hoping the 'red days' stay away like they did with the injection, GP says they should.
First money from my April budget spent, £2.65. Hope everyone else is surviving well. One day I might be more organised...........

Too much going on to really concentrate on my food budget so I lost track and gave up. April is going to be a fresh start.

Why do I feel excited when it's the start of a new month/budget? ha ha
I didn't do badly for March (only £5 over) so think i'll stick to £175 for this month also - Not bad for 2 Adults (well one could be classed as a horse as he eats like one!!) 2 cats and a dog.:j Mortgage Free!! )Generally trying to cut back where possible :j0 -
mrs-moneypenny wrote: »big mumma, keep a look out in morrys for the big bags of potatoes i started getting them last month after realising they are cheaper than te farm shops and i live in the country(ish). a 12.5KG bag is £3.79 i think they also have 'slight seconds' in 10kg bags that were even cheaper - not sure how a spud can be a second- probally small or funny shapes.
I get the bags of "slight seconds" occasionally. The potatoes themselves are fine, they are often huge in size and funny shapes, sometimes odd ones have black bits (bruising?) but the cost far outweighs the odd black bit.0 -
Hi all, can anyone suggest something for the remains of my sunday roast? I'm sure I saw something recently but running out of lunch break time in which to search... I spent another pound today. This was for tinfoil. Now , you see, it was still money saving as I had taken 4 sausages from the house to eat at work, thus stopping me buying something for my break. The guys in the work dont clean the wee cooker as much as I would like, so it was also a health and safety exercise. It will be there for me to use again so it,s justified. You see how this thread is getting to me, I also had a wee head fight with myself on the way home, as to wether I should buy bread from corner shop. I have none at home, on the other hand I,m having another slice from my huge/half price pizza for lunch and going out to dinner tonight. Best leave the bread till tomorrow, ah but now I,m thinking, What about work tomorrow! I,m in the house now, going to have lunch, a weee nap then get ready to go out. Not to worry there,s a Mr S across the road from work, I,ll nip in there at break , buy bread, take cheese to work and have toasted cheese TAA-RAA:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

Currently the total for this month (which started in payday 28th) is £64.39/£150. Cupboards are full of food, as is the freezer so I'm hoping the remaining £85.61 will do for fresh veg etc. To be honest this is already an improvement on previous months, as before I got into all the DFW stuff I didn't have a clue how much I spent each month.Lightbulb moment Feb 2008.
