OOh I didn't even think about the sizing issue!
I was talking to someone last night who said I'd played my Family Planning visit all wrong. She said my mistake was telling them the boring married truth!
She said I should have said that I had a thing about bisexual bad boys with drug problems but the relationshops never seem to last more than a few weeks.. before I'm on to the next one and then get a carrier bag out of my handbag for them to pour condoms into.
I couldn't possibly say all that with a straight face though! But she did give me a good laugh thinking about doing it! :rotfl:

Cheers for the suggestion sweetie. :T I've just gone  and looked it up. I think the reason my doc has never suggested it is that it can cause your periods to go a bit doolally and I have enough to contend with in that department already.
(I'm so sorry everybody.Shall I list my bra size and describe how I lost my viginity as well - just so that I have got absolutely every personal detail about me off my chest?! What am I like. )
Plus I have weirdo migraines occasionally and I see that's another thing I read that they have to be careful of. I'll ask her about it though cos it also said that some people's periods stop and that would be pretty cool. i wouldn't miss 'em!

In fact other than the fact my arms was a bit sore for a couple of days after it went in I forget its there most of the time. Drop me a PM if you want more info.0 -
Hope its not too late to join the April challenge. I've been 'lurking' for a while now and managed to cut back significantly on our grocery bills. Been eating our way through the freezer but still haven't reached the bottom!! Can 't quite understand how we were spending so much before - our bills had gone up & up
Can you put me down fr £250 please for April.
Thats for OH Myself and DS3 (16) plus DS1 &DS2 returning from Uni couple of weekends. 1 Dog 2 cats
Best laid plans - Sent DS1 back to Uni on the train yesterday with large bag of food from pantry/freezer and big box of Twinks Hobnobs (baked specially) to tide him over until his grant hits the bank. For some reason his bag was put off the train by the guard at Huddersfield!! A couple of stops before his. Apparantly the guard thought it consituted a security risk!! Frozen chicken legs, hob nobs, baked beans, couscous, rice, spuds and baking powder must all be on the 'suspicious' list for trans penine rail. BTW I reckon DS1 was asleep at the time and oblivious to all this. Great cry of woe from DS1 when reached his destination, as you can imagine ,as would have to starve for a week. Anyhoo - after much complaint bag was sent on and restored to DS1 who lives to eat another day.Doing a boring job but thinking of the money!!0 -
Well starting my challenge fresh today although I have a freezer full and fridge full as I did a big shop from Mr T's on Sunday.
Need to get more milk today but that will be about it.
Very proud of myself though - have stewed some apples that were about to turn for the freezer to make apple crumble at a later date and just about to make a banana loaf with the over ripe bananas. I am domestic goddess !
Pity that the kitchen looks as though I've bombed it and kids have wrecked the house while I've been busy !
Today is my lightbulb moment - I used to chuck so much food that had gone out of date but starting today it's getting used up one way or another.
Better go - dd is chasing ds with a broom. So little money - so much time :mad:0 -
had to nip out for some bacon for DS's tea ( he wants pasta and bacon!) and some dog biscuits. i was really good, i only went to 2 shops and only bought those 2 things
i came home feeling really good about myself, cos i didn't get distracted by any other shops, and spend money just for the sake of it!!
i'm not going out again until thur so hopefully i can be good till then0 -
I shall be off to make a signature very shortly, just wanted to share my haul from last night's Asda reductions, hehe...
2 x packs of turkey goujons, reduced from £1 each to 50p each (4 meals right there!!)
2 x packs of haddock fillets, reduced from £2.49 each to 50p each!!
1 x Warburton's high fibre bread, reduced from £1.30 to 30p
1 x pack of salmon fishcakes, reduced from £1.78 to 25p
Making my grand total of £2.55 spent of my £30 budgetweeeeee! I love this game
I know what I was about to ask, sorry had to edit...should I include the cat's flea treatment in my grocery budget? I DO buy it from Asda0 -
May I join in the challenge too please, having lurked on last month's (and snaffled all your fab recipes - will have to join the weight loss challenge at this rate)?
MrsM, please put me down for £80
That's for a 4 week month, all food/toiletries/cleaning for me (non meat eater) and two cats that eat £7-8 p/w Whiskas
Thankies

Someone was asking earlier what supermarkets people liked to use. Well, I am really a Waitrose girl by inclination(!) but have started to use Sainsbury's regularly since joining the challenge as it is cheaper and the Nectar points add up so I can pay for a whole week's shopping with them in January each year. I live in a village and although we have a useful village shop it is very expensive and doesn't have a lot of choice. There is a Budgens in the next village which is better especially since it had a makeover. Their luxury coleslaw is as good as Waitrose's and cheaper at 99p a carton. However, you need a car to get there even though it is only a couple of miles away, and all the other supermarkets are a car drive away. I try to shop once a week or use online deliveries to cut down on the petrol, but as I have to drive to work I usually combine a visit with a journey to or from work.
In the nearest town we have Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Somerfield, and a Co-op about 7 miles away. I also have a Co-op near work so I sometimes pop in there. They occasionally have good deals on meat - often it is locally produced too so food miles are reduced.
Unfortunately there are no Tesco's, Aldi's, Nettos Lidl's or Asda's near me so I can't take advantage of all the 'whoopsies' mentioned here. Still, when I have time I try to shop around and compare prices which helps.
