I have the following shops to use in a four mile radius to me:
Tesco
Sainsbury
Lidl
Small Co-Op
plus locals like centra, spar, vivo
Any tips on what I should be looking out for in the above??
Pink, you got any tips seeing as how you are about 30 miles away from me??0 -

How about a surf 'n turf combo of King Prawns to go with your Organic Rump Steak? Or maybe a mixed grill? Enjoy it0 -
I also have the others as well Arkonite babe, TBH with you in terms of looking for bargains in the smaller strores- i rely on the leaflet drops in the free papers. With spar and the like, it is often a case of spotting and comparing, there never seems to be any advertising in my area. We also have a huge, weekly , plus an undercover four daily market. A french one about twice a year as well as farmers markets. There is a proliferation of farmers shops as well and i find these easier to compare and find it worth the drive for the free range bargains.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi All,
I would like to join the challenge for the first time. I am aiming at £200 for month from 1st to 30th April for me and OH. I thought this was pushing it a bit but having read the rest of this thread I am in shock and amazement at what you manage.
Wish me luck!

This is very interesting!!!
I have no idea what I spend per month on shopping ( and I dread to think)!!!
Do you think it is possible to spend £50pw max on 2+1 still in nappies bearing in mind that 90% of our groceries are organic/eco friendly?
I have already decided to cut out takeaways for the duration and to give baby what we eat NOT the pre-prepared toddler meals.
Wish me luck!!!!

Still not spent anything since Saturday. We had macaroni cheese for tea sunday so I had the leftovers for tea last night. Everyone else had eggs chips and beans (I think or sweetcorn). DH had orders to give the kids cold boiled eggs salad and the mash from the fridge (DD's request
). I was lying in bed thinking well it doesn't smell like salad :rotfl: .
So for tomorrow we still have salad and cold eggs. There's also still some macaroni cheese which I'll have. I'll do DH a jacket before he gets home and he can't argue then. The kids can have the mash. I've got cooked new potatoes in the fridge but he doesn't want themso I'll have them another night or give them to the kids. Or and Ssh! I might put them in a sauce pan as he's coming home from work and serve them up so he thinks they're fresh!:D .
DD has told me today that she never eats the apples I put in her lunch box so I'd better go and get some grapes from Aldi tomorrow- although it's end of term Friday and she'll only need 3 lunches. She's still got banana muffins so I might just give her dried fruit.
So that sorts that. Phew- nearly spent money then!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
