Morning everyone,
((((HUGS)))) for Smoky and family, we`re all thinking of you today.
I lit a candle yesterday and have been back this morning to read some more of the messages they are all lovely.
Late posting today as i`ve slept really badly and didn`t nod off until 5am, i was feeling ill yesterday but managed to soldier on and get the hw done etc.
Today i don`t feel too bad just tired with a sore throat and my glands are up a little, i really need to get out to the shops but i`m waiting in for a parcel to be delivered so i hope i`m not going to be stuck here all day.
Hope to catch up later.
Have a good day everyone

Morning everybody :hello:
((((((((smokybabe)))))))) Thinking of you and the family.
Not much OS going on here today: dinner is going to be HM Thai green chicken curry, but that's a portion out of the freezer so the only effort involved will be measuring out the rice
I am aiming to set myself a financial challenge over the next 2 months. I feel I've been very wasteful and extravagant lately, and I really can't see where it's all gone. I have looked in my diary and I have two whole months where my schedule is really light and there doesn't seem to be much need to spend money. Coupled with the fact that I have a freezer and cupboards which are absolutely rammed full of food, I think my challenge for the next 10 weeks will be to spend an average of £10 a week on food and £20 on general "pocket money" items, instead of the usual £20 and £30. If I achieve it, that will be £200 saved
So I will be meal planning like crazy.
There's no money in the clothes budget at the moment either, so it was a bit depressing when one of my shoes (the main pair of boots I wear with absolutely everything) decided to break - properly break, you know when the solid part of the structure goes so that the heel feels like it's gone floppy? - Anyway, I thought I might have to go and buy a new pair, but then I found I had a perfectly serviceable pair just sitting in the bottom of my wardrobe collecting dust
One of the insoles is creased up on the inside, but that should be cheap enough to sort out. I've also got quite a few things that need to go to the dry cleaners, but have got myself some Johnsons vouchers courtesy of Tesco clubcard deals
I replied the other day to the offer of a hand-mixer on Freecycle, but I don't think I've got it as I haven't heard from the person. I wish (s)he would bother to let me know if it's been taken, but there you go.
I hope those who got upset yesterday decide to come back. Please remember that we are basically all friends. Last year when there was a disagreement, smokybabe was one of those who nearly decided to leave - and if she had done so, just think how much less support she would now be receiving.
Rzl xx

JackieO - thank you for putting things so well in your post today.
I think most of us aren't feeling very chatty today as our thoughts are so much with Smoky.
Love to everyone.

Afternoon all

Sending massive hugs to Smoky and the children today, am thinking of you all.
Woke up at 4.30am this morning to go to the toilet as baby was lying awkwardly, then i couldn't get back to sleep, my mind started wandering again, having bad thoughts etc so i had a little cry
and went and bought DD into bed with me for comfort. I finally nodded off around 7ish so when my alarm went at 7.30am i felt like i hadn't had a wink of sleep lol
i'm still having my mass clear-out, just been tackling DD's toybox and have got some stuff for the charity shop and a couple of bits for ebay. I've just sat down to have dinner and a rest then i'm going to tackle under her bed where all the games and stuff lives
OH still away so haven't been shopping this week, me and DD are quite content using up things and having some odd concoctions lol
Take care all

Hi
Catowen I'm missing your daily post and hope to see you back here soon:hello:
The DIY in the front room continues and today we're onto the glossing which I hate.
My parents are bringing the girls back this afternoon and the house is a tip. We're going to see The Chinese State Circus tomorrow afternoon which is a couple of mile away from where we live. This week has been a bit dull and quiet for the girls due to the bad weather and the DIYing so we're going to do something together instead.
Tonight's tea will be sausages, new potates and carrots and Easter eggs for afters! :rotfl: From next Monday I'm not going on a diet but I will be cutting down as I'd like to lose at least half a stone before I'm 40 which will be in about 8 weeks. I just need to stop eating biscuits, cakes and crisps and that should do the trick (hopefully). The only diet I've ever been on is The Rosemary Conley low fat one. I've done that one twice after the birth of the girls and I managed to lose 2 stone on it both times. I'll just adopt the low fat approach and only have treats at the weekends.
The wm is on and will be again once the girls return with their dirty clothes. Once the painting is done I'll give the whole house a blitz which will probably be on Saturday.
Have a peaceful day.0 -
Smokybabe, you've been in my thoughts all day.
Going to get the groceries when my youngest wakes from his second nap of the day after getting very little sleep last night as he was sick for much of the night. This is a regular pattern and the penny is finally droppign that he MAY have an intolerance of cows' milk. So I need to get a referral to the children's hospital to get some tests done and speak to a nutritionist about an elimination diet.
We rely quite heavily on dairy for the children - it's in almost everything I cook from bread to pastry to pancakes to biscuits. Lots to think about. I'm not doing anything without advice from the hospital as I don't want to make him worse.
He's okay though. Happy and strong. So we'll have a bite to eat while we're out and stock up on tasty things to try to tempt him to have some solids as I'm running out of energy trying to keep him full.
Hugs to those who need them.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
