Another one with a terrible night's sleep here. Even ds who usually sleeps like a log came trundling into my room at 1.45am. He has been awake and talking since 5.40am. I've needed a prescription for painkillers for about a month and didn't go and get it because I had flu. Last night I wished I had made the effort.
I will be doing an extensive tidy up job this morning as my friend is visiting this afternoon.
Smoky and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers today. As Hester said we'll be here for you when you need us.
Betheebee, I cook squishy fruit and freeze it for pies and crumbles, yum yum.0 -
Smokey - thinking of you today on this very sad day - all my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.

Morning everyone
smoky - wishing you and your children strength and love for today, and the days ahead. You are in our thoughts. xx
Another day of painting MILs house. Today we are moving on to painting the hall and landing, which I think will be quite time-consuming, but never mind, it should look clean and bright when we've fininshed.
I managed to burn DS1's shirt this morning whilst ironing it (had the iron on too hot), but hopefully no-one will see as it will be under his jacket - domestic goddess I am not! Will have to have a root around in the freezer for something for tea, might do sausage casserole. I've slipped from my meal planning this week, must get back on course, life seems so much simpler when I meal-plan and know exactly what we're having each day. Washing will be on the line soon (I hope!)
Hugs to all who are poorly or feeling low. xx0 -
Morning folks,
Smokey - you and your children are in my thoughts today, as you are everyones.
Well, I am supposed to be in the shower now but OH forgot to put the immersion on, so I'm not. Will put the washing out in a minute and stick the DW on. Then I'll get ready for work and pop and see a friend on the way in.
Not feeling too good today, had crippling trapped wind last night and my stomach hasn't quite recovered yet.
Hope you all have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Good Morning Chums ,
well it's a sad day for Smoky and her children but with all our thoughts and prayers are going to her.
I do hope you manage to get through today O.K. It will feel like the second worst day in your life ,but get through it you will and we are all here for you in the coming weeks and months . Pm me if you need a shoulder to cry on or just a rant.
Believe me there will be times when you are weepy ,angry, sad, cross but also you will laugh again. Do what ever helps you to get through and if you feel like yelling 'It's just not fair ' then do so, I did.
My thoughts and prayers are with you on this sad day Smoky, cuddle your children,as they too will be feeling bereft.
God Bless you xx

Hey all,
Well I have to continue my tidying, if I don't I'll never get it finished...did bathroom and bedroom plus half of kitchen. I need to finish the kitchen and do the living room, plus the hallway. The advantages of 1 bedroom flat living is less space to tidy, disadvantage....NO SPACE!!!!!!!
I've also got to bake my dads birthday cake, maybe some peanut butter cookies...starting to get the feeling that my tidying day will become a baking day.:D
Hope everyone has fun and there are always hugs for those in need/wantWhen life gives you lemons......Grab a bottle of tequila and call me over!

hugs for everyone else who needs/wants one.
builders rang yesterday re the missing tiles and the crack in the wall they are coming to look at it on 8th April!!!! i asked if he meant the were mending the roof and looking at the wall which is what the insurance company implied would happen but no this is just a look at appt, then they'll have to decide if the job needs doing and order the parts. i just hope we dont get too much more rain as you cant get into that part of the roof to see if it is leaking as the extention has no loft space. also its when im back at work and its the usual helpful anywhere between 8am and 5.30 appt:mad:
weather is actually clear and sunny here so will bring yesterdays wet washing back in for a respin and try again.
must make some more hobnobs today. might also pull a bit more knitting in.
slowly but surely working through the surplus stocks of toilerties and cleaning products, ill have another tidy in my bedroom cupboards today and restock the bathroom as it is actually getting low on bubble bath and shampoo- im actually getting on to the nice stuff now i've been saving for 'best' but never actually end up using. I might start on the stuff i got last christmas sometime next year!!!
and i will tidy my dressing table today sharpen eye pencils etc and throw gunky old stuff away (like the congealed nailpolish thats got the lid welded on)
i hope everyones day has something good in itSPC~12 ot 124
