Smoky I'm thinking of you and the children

I'm lighting a candle for you all at 9am.Bulletproof0 -
Have just read yesterdays posts, so I will get on to my os bit.
I have lots of fruit I bought that had been marked down as it was going squishy so lots of smoothies coming up, Can't think of any other way to use them. I sorted out the "never ever" draw, that's in the kitchen, last night. I call it that because once something is put in there I can never find it. Why have I kept 100,s of elastic bands, a broken watch, out of date coupons, pens that don't work etc.
Think I will tackle the ironing cupboard that should be an ironing basket
Am going to take a binliner of stuff to the charity shop, stuff I put on freecycle and was not collected. Wed and Thurs. I go to my DD's and take her 2 Labs for a walk as she is at work. Bit of a chore but once I have done the long walk I always feel better.
hm chicken bacon and leek pie for dins tonight. Best I get started on my list, well, after another coffee.
Love to all and hope you have a better day than yesterday, those who are thinking of leaving ............ Don't !!!!!!!!!!!!!! (pretty please)0 -

Good morning everyone
Smoky thinking of you and your DChildren on this hardest and saddest of days. Sending you ((hugs)), thoughts and prayers. Hester said it so well - we will be here for you in the coming months if you need a shoulder to cry on, to let off steam or just talk about the mundane.
Job No 2 today - but its payday so it isn't all bad. After w**k need to do a very quick shop. Don't need much and I'm trying to avoid supermarkets this month to see how much of a difference it makes to my bank account.
My gas engineer is back to work today so at long last I can phone him to get my boiler fixed. I want to get that fixed before I get the WM fixed - I need the boiler more than the WM.
Dinner is chicken with jacket spuds and veg. Lunch is chicken salad roll with fruit salad. Breakfast is porridge with seeds and honey.
Hoping everyone is well. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning all.
My thoughts are with Smokey today. Take care and God bless.
Thanks Squiggly for mentioning me
. I have that creaky/achy feeling for some reason. I slept badly last night for some unknown reason and chased myself all over the bed. Never mind, I'll do some "hard labour" today with a pickaxe and a shovel, that should make me sleep tonight  Hopefully I'm making a huge batch of tomato pasta sauce stuff tonight and I shall have a bash at baking some scones while I'm about it. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time
And joy of joys, I've vanquished the "Bill and Bens". I've put my glasses on whilst typing and all is well again
Have a safe day.

Hi TRU - I'll join you in lighting a candle at 9am this morning.
Well, it's a beautiful day here today- I hope the weather is good for Smoky today.
DH has just left - without incident this time, which is a first. I have made out a list of all the things I need to get done today, the first being prepping for tonight's Spaghetti Bolognese. Haven't got as far as pudding yet. I might make AUSSIE'S Impossible Pie - we love that.
I also need to get my head round to doing the wedding favours for DS2's August wedding; I have been informed that, what I thought was 100 favours, has now turned into 150! Help! I have cleared with future DIL that Love Hearts will be good for the sweeties so that's one problem solved - I think I can buy those on eBay in bulk. I also have masses of white, gold and silver net, sugar pink organdie and hot pink ribbon so just need to get a few made up and see how they look and decide what else they need. I have given myself a timetable to get them finished by the end of May - I know this sounds early but I don't want to rush it or end up with a mad panic!
Anyway, WM is on and I might look for a BM recipe for a fruit loaf; I have some paperwork to do and a small pile of ironing so, really, I suppose I'd better get on.
AJEANDO - you sound so excited about seeing your Mum! Have a great reunion!
(((Hugs))) to everyone; will call back later.

Morning all,
I haven't read the thread yet, will get to it later after I have taken DS to school.
Only posting this early as I wanted to say to Smoky that you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you find the strength to get through today, there are a lot of people on this thread who wish they could be there to support you. Huge hugs.
