My "funky @assed" kitchen cost that including the granite and the Smeg appliances. H has some magic touch - he's possibly giving favours to the MFI lady. :rotflL
Our friends have bough that kitchen from MFI. H took their quote of £12,000 for units and worktops and got it down to £5000.
Get B&Q and MFI to come out to you as well and then play them off against each other big style. And Howdens, bcause you can. The units only we got B&Q down from £9000 to £5100. MFI came down to £4800 and I had £1000 worth of tesco vouchers to add to that
aparently the taps were 400 quid so thats a non no for a start
hob 600 ...found a 5 ringer at 180
twin ovens 600 a piece ...found them at 180 too and thats without hagglings
It is a nice kitchen though.
Funny thing is my misses didnt like it at first and we was at a family do the other night and I mentioned it too my sister who was a window dresser (who got flown to ireland germany spain) to dress windows christ knows why but she must be good anyway she has that vision.
She'll buy something and you think !!!!!! is taht about???
then she'll buy something else ..and you like WT megga F?
and the she'll buy a third thing and you say well thats fantastic
anyway as soon as she said oh yeah I want a black kitchen my misses went oh ok we'll get one then:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
So from now on Im gonna bribe my sister to approve anything I like
I need her to agree that a years subscription to online readers lesbian wives is a good idea......... misses will go for it then

It's a beautiful kitchen. We're moving to a home house too soon and I'm having the red one I think, if I'm brave enough. (she says, petrified of what the neighbours might say!)
Sourced some rejected black proper sparkly granite at B&Q (because they forgot to cut the sink holes) - 9 metres of it for £800! I WILL make the kitchen fit the worktop and find someone to fit it
