You need to hire your o/h out esp to me;) Doing his own Bootsing *wonders if he might like some male company ie my o/h*:D
Would like to see if you can see Ted Baker bags reduced. Full price in PC, 1/3 off in KR and 1/2 price in KW
You might like the Botanics toiletries bag I got for £3. I know you like your bags;)
That about the different reductions is typical isn't it?I've not been bothered about the TB bags since I bought the Ruby Wax ones (great btw) but will look out for you
And told you before ...oh's available anytime - 500 points an hour. Triple points at this time of year thoughOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -

The poster that works at Boots (Orlaith) says they get put on a noticeboard for all to read. But it includes the bad reviews as well as the good. No mention of any reward akaik.

i was the first to post that i had got the blue med bag at 15.00 i was not boasting just letting others know, i also got 3 different smaller value items, they will be gifts in fact the 5 pound giftset i gave away as a birthday present last night at darts (yes i won my game and yes it went to double 1 lol), i would not take these back, but each to there own. Well done to those that did try and get the big sets.
Also if the SA has said no and voided it off i wouldn't have moaned about it, life goes on.............unlike my pile of coupons my little one has screwed up in his hands, they are tesco ones not boots :rotfl:
As for things being ruined it was well noted that some people really took the mick out of tescos with there old policy so they changed it, all down to greed
Rant over!coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0 -

Sarah have never got into Tescos and don't follow the thread. So I for one don't know what happened with abuse re coupons etc but am pretty sure Boots will only do the same. The AC is the best points card I would hate for em to take that away:(0 -
had a day out in Scarborough today and theres loads of nail kits left there!0

So glad I resisted last week now:D Also got a Botanics bag which is pale green and opens up with two see though sections for £1.50. There were quite a few reduced bags, make up bags etc all with 75% off.
Got a wooden massager for 44p (these were in the same area as the washbags etc), and a nail buffer with cream half price at £2.50 all these were from the normal shelves not the clearance counter. They also had alot of half price nail files, false nails etc.
Bought Smile mouthwash and toothbrushes from the clearance counter at 99p each - smile products are BOGOF so effectively got them for 2 for 99p.
Basingstoke also has the Expert tins, got a body buffer and the dry mouth spray (with 150 points from the ACM) and the free tin - seemed to be plenty there.
Hope this helps somebody :j
It doesn't
It just makes me want to move to Basingstoke :rotfl:

The green bags that curlylocks has mentioned are down to £3 in PC, if they've got any left that isDid you spot any Expert Dry Mouth anywhere?

Wow, I really didn't expect such a lot to agree with me openly.
sarah skint, I wasn't having a go at you. I am all for a bargain too and would have had no qualms about relieving Boots of a few of these items, for myself and to give away as presents. Its just the blatant dishonesty that got to me. There are lots on here that would have liked to have had a go at the glitch, and good luck to them, but by the time they got to the shelves, others had cleared them. I don't have a problem with trying things that go through legitimately, but wouldn't then take the things back to obtain money by deception, or encourage others to do it. It just spoils it for everyone, as you say its happening with other companies and will happen with Boots too if people abuse it.sarah_skint wrote: »i was the first to post that i had got the blue med bag at 15.00 i was not boasting just letting others know, i also got 3 different smaller value items, they will be gifts in fact the 5 pound giftset i gave away as a birthday present last night at darts (yes i won my game and yes it went to double 1 lol), i would not take these back, but each to there own. tesco have tried to sue a guy over a ridiculous amoutn of points he 'saved' onto his clubcard by bulk purchasing reduced stuff.
tesco is also going to change their policy,so from Apr/May, deals can only be used by the person named in the club card IYSWIM.
so, genuine people who have points/exchange deals to give as a gift to family/friends can no longer do that anymore.
these people think they are screwing tesco, but in actual fact they are effectively ending it for everyone...

Re Tesco. Its a bit complicated but will try my best to explain.
There used to be some health and beauty coupons in leaflets around stores that gave you money off a £10 spend. It used to be possible to get £10 worth of toiletries free. If you bought stuff on BOGOF the till recognised the price before BOGOF kicked in. EG if you bought 4 shampoos on BOGOF at £2.50 each, the till only charged you £5, you then used multiple coupons like £2.50 off a ten pound spend, getting it for free !
It was good while it lasted but Tesco have clamped down and the Health and Beauty leaflets are nowhere to be seen now.
Some folk were buying so much and then selling at car boots. There was even a rumour of one guy getting his clubcard taken off him with hundreds of pounds worth of points on it.
Wouldn't want to that to happen to anyone at Boots!:money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:0 -

Again no receipt...£30.00 to spend. I got the following:
Sorry, I know I'm going to be shot down for this, but I don't consider its something well done at all. To get an offer through a glitch is one thing, but to take advantage of the offer then take the stuff back to be refunded on money you haven't spent, just to get the extra points is totally another. You'll probably be on here boasting soon about having taken those items back too and swapped those for something else, keeping the points you gained.
I am all for a bargain, and I often get extra ones for family and friends, or for others on here that have been unable to get them, there are several on here that can back me up when I say that, but I am not greedy. I do leave lots for others to take advantage. I believe that those that want them for themselves or for family etc should also be able to take advantage of the offers.
It seems to me, that it would soon become blatantly obvious to Boots, that there was something wrong with the offer, when people who have probably never bought a particular range, suddenly start buying expensive gift sets in large numbers.
The poster who was boasting about having taken soaps out of gift sets, to 'buy' to get the gift set, then took them back to another store for a refund and extra points, ought to remember that there are security cameras in the ceilings of stores, these are monitored by security staff and managers. The fact that you did that was technically stealing. Then having taken them back to another store, for a refund and used your Advantage card, come on here boasting about it, don't you think that someone from Head Office could be watching this thread and if they wanted to, could trace what you've done? You've even given dates and an inkling of the tills you used, ie bought from Wyvern (Pride Park), taken back to Victoria Centre, used tills upstairs, a shopping list of what you bought, then downstirs to refund the bags with another shopping list.
No, sorry Sk, that does not deserve a 'Well done', it shows great stupidity to me.
I am sorry if others are not going to agree, I fully expect you not to, but I am as much entitled to my opinion as you are and I do know that there are others who perhaps are not saying so, but do agree with me.
I have stopped coming on here so much as it does annoy me sometimes that people are so greedy about things.
So fire at me as much as you like.Dollardog... I do not understand why you think you will be shot down for these comments, I believe taking something back 'without receipt' knowing you have not paid that price to make a 'gain' is just plain wrong.I do believe that taking advantage of a glitch is fine . Mr Boots obviously only allows each AC customer to print out a certain amount of AC vouchers each and regardless whether it is the same person that uses all the vouchers or each individual who uses their own only bears the same cost to Mr Boots in the long run anyway.I have myself taken advantage of the med offer got a ( body butter and Blue bag) and to be honest now that the glitch is over having experienced the med range it is definately a range I will now be purchasing in the future (plus getting my free soap for this month anyway!) I for one probably would never have tried this range otherwise as it is slightly more expensive than any other ranges ( and I'm a money saver ~right) .I also think that at £15 the med set is extremely good value for money aswell and will now treat myself to the Amazon one.I do think alot of people possibly got swept away with this glitch and I will count myself in that number but that is human nature, I have also congratulated people in taking advantage of this however in hindsight was this wrong ? The same way I have congratulated the Bootsers who have been able to take advantage of the nail kits ( although I have never managed to get one)We all also need to remember that for one regular poster on here there are probably 10 lurkers who just take advantage of offers/glitches without sharing their own experiences ... so for 1 'greedy' person there are possibly 10 more ! and in this world we live in it is a first come first served basis ~ and if they have the money/balls or whatever who can blame them.
I know that whatever offers/glitches that are about are not to everybodys tastes all the time and if it's not for me or I lose out I just think there will be something else around the corner or I'll have better luck next time.
I hope i haven't offended anyone in writing this...
Service as normal
Med voucher would not go through the till with anything today and SA couldn't even override..had to have supervisor override..not that i minded just wanted my free soap with my body butter purchase. This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M.
