Wow, I really didn't expect such a lot to agree with me openly.
Well I've been out and have only just caught up with this thread but yes, I agree too. Bootsing for bargains is a fun game for most of us and a way of getting some extra nice things for ourselves and friends, I think, and the folk that also share their finds on to various charities and fundraisers deserve a special round of applause. Who can resist a good glitch or bargain? (What AM I going to do with five nail sets, FGS?) And yes, I was up at the till with a Med voucher, soap and bodywash too. Did not work, but you can't win them all, lol. And yes, I got S&G bags and if I'd seen a MF GWP anywhere in town I'd have been up at a till with it too, hoping for a lenient or sleepy SA. So I'm quite willing to go out there and have fun. If I get things, yeah, great. If I don't, no big deal.
But to buy things with the direct intent of gaining cash money or points by returning them is indeed intent to defraud and frankly if the posts about it get drawn to Martin or the mods attention then I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few members less afterwards. In a worst case scenario the Boots threads might get severely curtailed too.
Also, for these that sail very near the wind, posting about how you do things could mean some innocent newbie comes along, reads the post, thinks this is a perfectly legitimate thing to do and then lands in some very hot water at the hands of Boots security team or legal advisors. It's always the innocent new folk that get caught, remember, not the canny oldtimers that (presumably) have thought upfront about how to talk their way out of trouble. Oh, and all we would need is said newbie telling the Boots lawyer that "Oh but they said to do it on MSE" and Martin would get into trouble too.
So lets have some sense, ladies. Do whatever it is you're doing...that's your business. But just have a think about what you're posting and the effects it may have on others. Keep the thread above board legally, okay?Val.0 -

Very well put, Valk_scot
Now, am off Bootsing with the future MiL tonight. She said she's looking forward to learning from a professional shopper. Gulp. No pressure then.
May the Lord of the ACM be smiling on me, the bounty on the shelves be plentiful....and the SAs ready and willing!!!
Barring that, there's a Tescos across the road.0 -

Does anyone recommend a decently priced hand cream? Also, some spot cream/moisturiser? Also, i have colour spit to use, whats the best thing to get without getting tweezers or brushes or anything?
Thanks!'I'm not a girl, not yet a woman!' :whistle:Finished my exams now! YAY!:j :j0 -

Sarah
They are normally in with sponge bags, facecloths, body scrubbers and that sort of thing.
The trick is to look along the SELs and spot the ones that have much smaller numbers in the prices...on closer inspection you'll find the original price crossed out and "Reduced to" on it.Val.0 -
