Again no receipt...£30.00 to spend. I got the following:
Sorry, I know I'm going to be shot down for this, but I don't consider its something well done at all. To get an offer through a glitch is one thing, but to take advantage of the offer then take the stuff back to be refunded on money you haven't spent, just to get the extra points is totally another. You'll probably be on here boasting soon about having taken those items back too and swapped those for something else, keeping the points you gained.
I am all for a bargain, and I often get extra ones for family and friends, or for others on here that have been unable to get them, there are several on here that can back me up when I say that, but I am not greedy. I do leave lots for others to take advantage. I believe that those that want them for themselves or for family etc should also be able to take advantage of the offers.
It seems to me, that it would soon become blatantly obvious to Boots, that there was something wrong with the offer, when people who have probably never bought a particular range, suddenly start buying expensive gift sets in large numbers.
The poster who was boasting about having taken soaps out of gift sets, to 'buy' to get the gift set, then took them back to another store for a refund and extra points, ought to remember that there are security cameras in the ceilings of stores, these are monitored by security staff and managers. The fact that you did that was technically stealing. Then having taken them back to another store, for a refund and used your Advantage card, come on here boasting about it, don't you think that someone from Head Office could be watching this thread and if they wanted to, could trace what you've done? You've even given dates and an inkling of the tills you used, ie bought from Wyvern (Pride Park), taken back to Victoria Centre, used tills upstairs, a shopping list of what you bought, then downstirs to refund the bags with another shopping list.
No, sorry Sk, that does not deserve a 'Well done', it shows great stupidity to me.
I am sorry if others are not going to agree, I fully expect you not to, but I am as much entitled to my opinion as you are and I do know that there are others who perhaps are not saying so, but do agree with me.
I have stopped coming on here so much as it does annoy me sometimes that people are so greedy about things.
So fire at me as much as you like.
Well said Dollardog, the thread hasnt been the same over the last few days and I've noticed a lot of names missing and did wonder if it was due to this. Glad somebody spoke up and hopefully things will return to normal. Saving money is one thing, returning items not paid for for a refund isnt money saving in my eyes, its theft.0 -
Not sure if already posted but i found a no.7 spring collection and winter collection 'last chance to buy' stand. Most things £2.50-£4. £8-9 on boots.com
I found it at the Derby Westfield centre at the back near the photo and baby bit, at the end of the aisles opposite the tills.'I'm not a girl, not yet a woman!' :whistle:Finished my exams now! YAY!:j :j0 -
I'll think twice about posting glitches in future if it causes this much trouble :silenced: ! Not much else to say on the matter really ........ just sorry my findings have resulted in people arguing and caused ill feeling
Can we all kiss and make up please??!!! :kisses:
jtb - Don't !! The issue wasn't the glitch, it was what people did with it. I for one would like to thank you for finding the med glitch...and may there be many more! And yes, I think peeps have all done a virtual "mwah, mwah"0 -
Thanks for that lilflower might have to pop to derby 2morrow. Was there anything worth getting?0

I thought someone had said that, and that they got the soap 3 for 2, too. The lady stocking shelves pointed out the sales signs which say "does not include lipcare." So I didn't even try to get three of those. Then the lady at the till (who was very friendly and had never seen the Expert tins, but wanted one), said the third bar of soap did not come off as free, so I just took two bars. Really odd. I guess this is one of those hit-and-miss things depending on where you shop, even though what's on sale should be standard at all Boots. I'm always amazed at how disorganized and inefficient Boots is, but if Boots got on the ball all those glitches wouldn't work!0 -
Good evening fellow bootsers
I have had a fairly successfull day today although only 'bought' a few things..
BUT...I think I have found what we can all finally spend out £2 colour cosmetic till spits on...... Bourjois Pencil sharpeners!! :j
Yes I know it says on the spit 'can't be used with bourjois pencil sharpener' but i tried in 3 different stores today and it works a treat. They are £1.95 so with till spit FREE :T
I have included a pic of them here so you know what to look out for on the stand:
