Re Tesco. Its a bit complicated but will try my best to explain.
There used to be some health and beauty coupons in leaflets around stores that gave you money off a £10 spend. It used to be possible to get £10 worth of toiletries free. If you bought stuff on BOGOF the till recognised the price before BOGOF kicked in. EG if you bought 4 shampoos on BOGOF at £2.50 each, the till only charged you £5, you then used multiple coupons like £2.50 off a ten pound spend, getting it for free !
It was good while it lasted but Tesco have clamped down and the Health and Beauty leaflets are nowhere to be seen now.
Some folk were buying so much and then selling at car boots. There was even a rumour of one guy getting his clubcard taken off him with hundreds of pounds worth of points on it.
Wouldn't want to that to happen to anyone at Boots!

pegginout, I have very fond memories of the quit kit and H&B vouchers. They were brilliant:D I still have a few (3 or 4) boxes of toiliteries left. I spent a lot of money in Mr T's at the time. However, some peeps on the vouchers board bragged about getting 20 odd plax with 30 shampoos in one transaction and only paying pennies. As a result tesco tightened up the use of vouchers an stopped selling BOGOF toiliteries. My local store sealed the voucher slot on SS tills and will only take 1 moc per transaction. I'm now shopping at sainsbury's - where I used to shop before the quit and H&B vouchers surfaced. We really don't want the same to happen with boots. Where will we shop. Superdrug? I perish the thought!

Wow, Nine tails. They have SS tills in Sedley Pl? where are they located? I went in there the other day, but didn't see them:confused: I've seen the ones in bond street, but not used them yet. Have you?

jemclajess, no, I haven't seen the trial pk of stay dry pads in Luton. The manager has probably hidden them away. Just like he hid the wisdom toothbrushes:rolleyes: It's hard to get a good deal/glitch in that store isn't it?

Lol, fair comment, :p just if people were looking for something to put in maybe (pink themed?) hampers and wanted them free with no outlay at all, not even 49p lol, then they are ideal :)

Edit: Nail polish doesn't work - till beeps

I didn't get these vouchers from the ACM either. I am a member of the health club so I think it must be pure luck.

Haven't validated my health club card yet, but those vouchers were showing on screen as available. I didn't think to print any out, not needing them ;) but will do - if they don't mysteriously disappear :)

Yes, Sally, there is a Santa Claus. Sedley Pl SS tills are lower ground floor, I think there are three of them. There are also three manned tills nearby. When I was there yesterday the SS tills were tightly supervised by a SA and a security guard was not far away. Suspect they placed them there so that there is still a distance to run before exiting the store. :rotfl:

Haven't tried the SS in either store yet. Just biding time...
