The poster that works at Boots (Orlaith) says they get put on a noticeboard for all to read. But it includes the bad reviews as well as the good. No mention of any reward akaik.
hthI hope the do get some sort of recognition in an end of year review or something as I had charming SA recently left him a lovely review online ...It's nice to get recognised for doing a good job..but why wait for the customer surveys if you have had good customer service let someone know about it!

Well done to those that did try and get the big sets.
Also if the SA has said no and voided it off i wouldn't have moaned about it, life goes on.............unlike my pile of coupons my little one has screwed up in his hands, they are tesco ones not boots :rotfl:As for things being ruined it was well noted that some people really took the mick out of tescos with there old policy so they changed it, all down to greedRant over! Was that due to the amount of free XBOX 360's (plus full refund) I wonder?

I totally agree Amelia's Mum, but don't do what I did when praising one particular SA. After telling me that she would sort out the refunds for the P&P I'd bought, I wrote a glowing letter to CS saying how good she was.
The following week she did a complete U-turn, refunded about a quarter of what I returned, and had the cheek to ask where the gwp's were! (I never thought to look - and it was when the blue/purple silk bags were gwp's)

Good point AM, I'll always remember what somebody said to me when she received good service in a store one day. She wasn't going to ring the store and praise them but then she thought, if i'd have received bad service then I would have been to first to call and complain about it, so why not when I receive good service.
I've stuck to that philosphy ever since and it is good to know that you have made somebody's day! I often compliment staff, either by surveys, email or phone, and its amazing how thankful companies are when you take the time to do it.0 -

...
The same way I have congratulated the Bootsers who have been able to take advantage of the nail kits ( although I have never managed to get one)...
I hope i haven't offended anyone in writing this...
People are worried about the abuse of glitches for monetary gain - ie. returning 2 med bags without receipts for 30.00 worth of goods, not the glitch itself.
Nail kits are genuine clearance items, not a glitch. The spirit of this thread (and MSE) is to share and compare, not encouraging anything illegal. Agree with you that there is an excitement about bargains, but we should be careful of the 'mob mentality,' and like dollardog and others, take a step back.0 -

yes that's why they changed their poilcy from Refund and retain to double the differance. xbox was mispriced so lots of people bought it got a full refund and got to keep the xbox. tesco lost thousands of pounds.

Wow, I really didn't expect such a lot to agree with me openly.
sarah skint, I wasn't having a go at you. I am all for a bargain too and would have had no qualms about relieving Boots of a few of these items, for myself and to give away as presents. Its just the blatant dishonesty that got to me. There are lots on here that would have liked to have had a go at the glitch, and good luck to them, but by the time they got to the shelves, others had cleared them. I don't have a problem with trying things that go through legitimately, but wouldn't then take the things back to obtain money by deception, or encourage others to do it. It just spoils it for everyone, as you say its happening with other companies and will happen with Boots too if people abuse it.
i also agree - that if people have got things through glitches then return to get money back is not right - glitches are there by boots mistake but people are exploiting this by returning "free" things in return for money they havent actually spent - all my purchases are either used by myself (cupboards overflowing lol) or given as gifts to friends and family.
Sorry if i offend anyone - rant over0
