I just checked with my credit card company and they told me pti europe was to do with Pampered Chef, although can be to do with Amazon too. Mine was to do with Pampered Chef so happy with my debit. Hope this post might help someone recognise their mysterious transaction:rolleyes:tomwakefield wrote: »Just checked my bank balance and have had a mysterious £6.95 payment to PTI Europe Region. Anyone else know what this is for? There isn't much on google at the moment, but there seem to be at least a couple of other reports of things like this.0

Had that on my account as well on the 24th and 27th , for 2 transactions with Amazon. They refunded the money in my account on the 29th then took the money back for the same transactions on the 31st, only this time it shows "Card payment to Amazon svcs-eu-uk.
My guess is that all the ones who had their money back will be paying again for the goods, so don't spend the money you got back just yet.
Maybe some people will be lucky and won't have to pay again.0 -
I've got two Amazon UK transactions referred to as PTI Europe Ltd which have now been credited back to me. No new debits but I'm sure they will come!0

Mine was my monthly Napster subscription, but I wouldn't have figured that out without this forum, so thanks!
No refund as of yet, but that would be too much to ask, I guess!0 -
surely this is illegal?
i mean some company is basically storing everyones money for a few days (thus getting interest) which considering the amount of payments/people they are hitting sounds like a clever way to make some fast money0 -

It's the payment gateway for online purchases you've made, nothing illegal.
I can't really see what all the fuss is about."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Phew! Glad it's all legit!
Mine was £9.95 taken out on the 25th and refunded on the 31st.
Can't think of anything for that amount other than Napster, which had already been deducted! Hey ho, it's back now.
Thanks again MSE!!0 -
If it helps: Norton Subscription renewal is one of the companies using PTI Europe Region GBP.
My account was debited £50+ 21st March in the name of PTI Europe Region GBP, credited with the same amount on 28th March (again PTI Europe etc) and then re-debited today as Norton Sub. Renewal.0 -
I have had exactly the same on my bank statement, one which should be AOL and another should be Amazon, phoned my bank they are aware of it and say it is something to do with online script? (didn't fully understand) but it is an OK thing will be recredited in PTI name and redebited in proper payee name. This site is amazing never done this before but when the anomoly came up on my statement I looked on Google for PTI, this came up I read everyones concern and didn't panic so much....thank you!
