Gone BR today

I think it is a disgrace what happened to you at the court. If it was me I would make a complaint about how your case was handled. But still onwards and upwards.
Best wishes,

Still mulling my own situation over (and probably will be for a llllloooonnnnngggg time to come as I'm reluctant to do it). Two friends of mine have gone BR, put it behind them and moved on. They said it's the best feeling ever. One has been discharged already and the other one is being discharged next month - only seems like 2 mins since she went BR last year.
I'll get the wedding/holiday in Ireland out of the way next month and then will give it serious consideration. I think I know deep down what has to be done but as someone said on a different thread, I'm programmed to think that going BR is one step away from burglary - in this day and age that thinking is ridiculous but elderly, saving parents bring you up to believe that and it's deep rooted somewhere in my psyche unfortunately!
I've just read that back - I hope you don't think I think you're some sort of burglar. I'm incredibly impressed by anybody who has the strength to go for bankruptcy. I'm such a wuss and worry about everything - from neighbours/work colleagues finding out, being listed in the paper etc., losing our home (even tho it's housing association). I think you've been incredibly brave and put your health first. Easier said than done sometimes.
I'll go and slink off somewhere and maybe jump into that big hole I've just dug!

Hi All,
I cant believe how bad that judge was with Gemma...Doesnt do anyone any good at all. If you cant afford your debts and Br has been advised by the experts then why have a go.
As someone already said, must have been her 'time'...i think not of the month but of the year!!! all that pent up aggression!!!
Sorry to all the females on the board!
Good luck and All the best Gemma with the OR interview...the worst is over now...almost there sweetie...
Come back for support and let us know how it all goes.
Dave.

Look after yourself Frodo, and well done for taking such a big step (and talking to the DCA - that made me laugh). It is funny how being ill can sometimes put everything else into perspective. I hope your new debt free life is great and that your health improves now so much stress is gone.
Gemma, the judge sound a total cow, and totally inaccurate as well. She must have a really sad life to get her kicks from being nasty to someone making a difficult but responsible decision.Lightbulb moment Feb 2008. It was a shock as other people had told me you are in the minute at most i was in there 7 minutes with her tellin me i will never get a job or be able to have a holiday and im stupid and she doesnt want to grant it as im so young but she did grant it in the end and i came out a bag of nerves. (dont think pregnancy hormones helped)
At least its done now and just insolvancy to deal with hope they arnt scary.
How awful!
I can't say about the job thing, but I hope you put down a small amount for holiday allowance. Every little helps
