I have almost the exact opposite problem with RM.

I live in a block of flats and I am addicted to internet shopping it would appear. Unfortunately, the woman who lives below me intercepts the postman and takes all the packages in.

Unfortunately her definition of a package is very wide and could mean anything wider than a standard bank statement or thicker than 5 mm.

Luckily she is illiterate so does not have a clue what she is taking in, but she could talk the hind legs off a donkey. It is therefore not surprising that the postman in an effort to escape her attentions, just gives her the packages and runs away (especially if they are heavy as mine often are) .

This means that when I order anything, I tend to get a knock on my door, just as I arrive home (she sees me enter the communal hall, waits until she hears the kettle has finished boiling then comes up, so I am now used to cold tea) - worse is that once she knows I am expecting a parcel, she interogates the postman and me each day to see whether it has arrived. The worst thing is that she actually then wants me to go downstairs to pick up the package and open it up in front of her, so she can admire my new purchase.

She has been asked no to do this as has the postman. It is a vissisitude of my life and I am not really complaining - but I hope you appreciate that
I would rather go to the post office to pick up a parcel - so I knew that it had arrived and was not being pawed over by someone I barely know and had some confidentiality about teh stuff I have bought:confused:
