    Full result for 2022: shamefully only £325 on £27K – a paltry 1.2%.
Martin's PB calculator for "the person with average luck" indicates a return of £500, and that 88% of depositors with £27K win more than my total. Kind of sums up this year 🤣😥
Do I shift them to a savings account with higher rate or keep them in the hope that my 'less-than-average' luck changes?

You've done much better than me. Only 0.85% on max holding!

1.2% isn't far off the expected return if you're measuring it across the whole of 2022 - the prize rate was 1% before June, when it increased to 1.4%, and it's only the last three draws that have been at the 2.2% rate.  The calculator on here uses the current rate so can only be used to assess likely returns in the next 12 months, not to measure those for the previous 12 months at different rates.

There is also the recognised issue that the published rate is distorted by the small number of large prizes, and so the median average return will typically be more like 90% of the notional rate....

  • First month of full holding and won £250
    2 x 100
    2 x 25

Quite happy with that as on 20,000 I didn't win anything for four months.

Based on max holding of £50K only since  April, my wins for this year total £550... I'm very happy with that.
How would I work out my percentage?

    550/50000/3x4 x 100 = 1.47%

Assuming you were in April's draw.

The winnings divided by your holding times 100 gives the percentage for a full year. Dividing by 3 and multiplying by 4 gives the annual percentage for 9 months draws (three-quarters of a year)

£150 back over the last 12 months on a ca. £26K holding.  Not a great year.  I'll be moving it into cash ISA and savings account.  Though might invest more again next year as all my interest will probably be taxable at 45% in 2023/2024.

  • £100 (1st ever win of that value) + 2 x £25 on 43k.

A few people with big holdings seem to be winning less than average and are considering ditching for savings I see scanning recent pages.  Hopefully will improve the chances for remainder 😉
