Hmm the link I looked at said Januarys winners. Whereas yesterday it said December's winners...BooJewels said:What's the difference between the 'Holding' and the 'Bond Value'? Presumably the holding is their total amount of PBs - but is the Bond Value how much was bought in a particular batch that the winning bond was amongst?
Therefore, I wonder if the second million winner, from a bond of £125 was previous winnings ploughed back into new Bonds?
@Polly05 - I don't think the January draw has been announced yet (it's a bit later than usual) - check back late tonight or tomorrow morning.
Think they have published Januarys 'high' winners but not yet the prize checker for smaller amounts .....

Do high winners get notified before the rest of us? So if you win the big one, will the email land today? *fingers and toes crossed* 🐈Just my opinion, no offence 🐈0

I think its only the two top prizes that get notified early and in person (assume that has resumed post covid).Black_Cat2 said:Do high winners get notified before the rest of us? So if you win the big one, will the email land today? *fingers and toes crossed* 🐈

What is wrong with NS&I? Every month it keeps changing my PB's nominated account from my direct saver to reinvest in PBs even though I have the max holding. I've had to set a monthly reminder now to check it and change it back on the 1st of every month.0

All others will be via email in a few days or via the app/website late tonight or tomorrowI've also wondered this but assumed all published winners must be notified early as the high value checker not only specifies holding/locality but also publishes the specific bond number.Maybe there is a previous high value winner using this forum who knows the answer?I can't be bothered to go through the winners list because have always believed I would be notified in advance if my bond number is published early. As such I am now thinking the £1,000 prize is my limit. Without sounding too greedy I would love to be wrong & find out tomorrow that I have won big after all....

Has anybody on here ever checked the high value list and spotted one of their bonds on it?

I think the website is very slow to respond to requests.relating to changes in he way winnings are paid. For about four months on the run when I was lucky enough to win £25 I had to repeat a request to pay the winnings into my bank account instead of being sent a warrant. The site accepted and confirmed the instruction but nothing happened or changed . If there is still a helpline number it,s worth going that route. I suspect the software on a lot of these government/institutional sites is not necessarily terribly efficient,Swipe said:What is wrong with NS&I? It's a software bug. It happens every month and it's not just me who has reported it but they are not interested. They only way to deal with it is to change it back manually after the 1st of the month before the money is paid out.Primrose said:

"Those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first turn mad".Seems this also applies to many developers of large scale software systems !0

Check it diligently every month - never been on it. Got the full 50k invested. I notice that most of the big winners have bonds issued more recently. I have had mine for 20 years - and never get on the high value list. Wondering if I should cash in what I have and then buy newer ones - but logic says it shouldnt make a difference but every month when i look at the list i feel like newer bonds seem to win more. Silly right?Slinky said:Has anybody on here ever checked the high value list and spotted one of their bonds on it?0
