What is wrong with NS&I? Every month it keeps changing my PB's nominated account from my direct saver to reinvest in PBs even though I have the max holding. I've had to set a monthly reminder now to check it and change it back on the 1st of every month.
I think the website is very slow to respond to requests.relating to changes in he way winnings are paid.    For about four months on the run when I  was lucky enough to win £25 I had to repeat a request to pay the winnings into my bank account instead of being sent  a warrant.  The site accepted and confirmed the instruction but nothing happened or changed .  If there is still a helpline number it,s worth going that route.      I suspect the software on a lot of these government/institutional sites is not necessarily terribly efficient,
It's a software bug. It happens every month and it's not just me who has reported it but they are not interested. They only way to deal with it is to change it back manually after the 1st of the month before the money is paid out.

Seems this also applies to many developers of large scale software systems !

Has anybody on here ever checked the high value list and spotted one of their bonds on it?
Check it diligently every month - never been on it.  Got the full 50k invested. I notice that most of the big winners have bonds issued more recently.  I have had mine for 20 years - and never get on the high value list.  Wondering if I should cash in what I have and then buy newer ones  - but logic says it shouldnt make a difference but every month when i look at the list i feel like newer bonds seem to win more.  Silly right?

Not silly at all, it's because there are far more "new" bonds than "old" ones so since all bonds have an equal chance of winning you would expect newer bonds to occur more frequently than older ones.

I was shocked that the high value winners results were online so early this morning, I always thought draw was at 8am.

IIRC the "draw" is done some days before the start of the month to allow the process of audit and checking to be done before the results are published.

I've always assumed the drumroll build up to the results coming out was purely for marketing purposes, to gloss over the humdrum routine of generating random numbers and checking them for matches with bond numbers.

(sorry if this spoils anyone's fun or excitement)

Not yet but had a Whoa! moment today when I checked. Right area, right bond value, right bought date...but different bond numbers.

You can play around with the high number list, which makes it easier to see if you. Have won.
Her is a lust of holdings starting with the lowest. Interesting reading.
