Started the year on 50k, reduced to 40k by the end of the year via 2x5k withdrawals; grand total wins for 2022 is a not very impressive £525.
Time to give serious consideration to cashing in the lot, I think...0 -
525 certainly not a bad return. Me...? Nothing on5k0

Nothing on5kJust 1.31% on 40k (in reality, even lower as I had 50k for a few draws in the early part of the year) - my easy access account now pays 2.72%, and limited access is 2.81%.Just realised that this draw marks 2 years of PB draws for me - majority of the time on full holding, but never lower than 40k, and the total wins in that time is just £900.
As I'm on a low income, the tax free element is of no benefit, so all that remains if the (forlorn?) hope of winning something decent... 🙄EDIT: I suppose I should look at the return over the past 3 draws, since they increased the prize fund rate and rejigged the distribution of prizes, and that would be (I think) 2.75%, so I'll hold off to see how things go in January...0 -
I can trump that.......ColdIron said:Oct £0. Nov £0. Dec £50Grrrr

On a £50K holding.
Double Grrrr.
I can't help thinking I might be looking at a jackpot next month.

Three draws since the huge increase in £50 and £100 prizes and I've still not won either on max holding - average luck should have given me one of each. Oddly, though I 'should' only win 1.4 £25 prizes each month, I got five today, though only one in November. Never had more than three before. £125 in one month is 3%pa which isn't terrible, but I'm looking forward to my first £100 win on a single bond, which surely can't be far away.
I'm hoping/praying/expecting the rate will go up for the January draw if the BoE raises rates this month as expected. The predicted 50bp rise would mean the base rate is up by 1.25% since the last increase in the premium bond rate so something between 0.5 and 1% on PBs, taking the rate to about 3%, surely isn't asking too much. Should 'expect' to average £100 a month on a max holding if so - there's no real point even hoping you'll win a single prize of more than £100. At present a £500 win should come your way once in 15 years and you're very unlikely to ever win a £5,000 prize, let alone £1m. But the hope keeps you hanging on...1 -
1 x £50 on full holding. Can't complain though after £625 last month.#39 - Save £12k in 20251

Second month with £47k holding, got £25 each time. I thought it was worth a punt to park my house deposit money there for 2 months, it didn't pay off in this case.0

Started the year slowly, but definitely improving with £500 since July, including £75 this month, giving a total for 2022 of £675 on a constant £47300.
Not a great return, but its a tax free return which now that interest rates are improving will become a consideration for next tax year.0
