The whole premium bond setup seems rather amateur.
They should have a system that emails you when you have won but instead it's a rather lacklustre system of manually having to check the site days after the draw.0 -

Not True.
If you register for an on line account, you do receive an email if you win a prize. It usually arrives around 6 days after the draw.
It doesn't tell you how much you have won for security reasons, but directs you to your account so that you can find out the size and how many prize/s you've won.
Gosh! its exiting aint it? :rotfl:Trying to learn something new every day.0 -

agreed, but it does show up in prize history for quite a while before you actually get an email. And the 'search' procedure in prize history is incredibly clunky... all that faffing about to find you've won nowt!0 -
£25 on £30000 holding this month, however next month I will have the max £40,000 holding.0

I might be missing something but what is the point of a 175 page thread where people might or might not post what they have won or not won each month?0

To give owners and potential owners of Premium Bonds a rough idea on how much is won with various amounts invested? It's not an exact science but I find it pretty useful.Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

I have to say I find the 'Prize distribution (last updated August 2014)' table here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/premium-bonds
rather misleading. At first glance you would think that the 'Odds of winning per £1 bond' would be the odds of winning the selected 'Prize Level'. Unless there's something wrong with my maths though, what it actually appears to show are the odds of winning the selected 'Prize Level' or greater.Stompa0 -
I won £50 (2 x £25) on an investment of £32,000 this month. I didn't realise the prizes showed up in the history before the email arrived so thanks Onawingandaprayer!0
