Won £25 this month... They way I look at it, with my cumulative spreadsheet, is I have done twice as well as the equivalent interest rate I would have got NETT after tax. No tax on premium bonds.
So even with an ISA at 3% it still wouldnt have performed as well, and I wouldnt have a shot at the £1m or the £100k, or even the 10k's. Its a lot of fun being invested in Premium bonds, also, no point comparing 5 year bonds, with 14 days access premium bonds, there is a huge penalty for cancelling a bond for 4%, also tax to pay too.
I can spend on my credit card, instantly knowing I can pay it off within 40 days as necessary with no interest with proceeds of premium bonds.
Overall, its just fun, forget the maths, have fun and have a dream.
If I won a £1m I would give up work tomorrow, and invest wisely to maintain lifestyle, without working and spending a whole load of time bringing up the soon to be "new addition" to the family. :-) Quality time is better than any luxury, I live a nice life, and wouldnt change it for the world. Maybe buy a small Yacht. ;-)Plan

Depending on your age, £1m might not be enough to give up work if you have some way to go yet.
But I like your way of thinking - Quality time is better than any luxury.
Reminds me of this quote - I use money to facilitate freedom rather than consumption (can't remember where I heard it).Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -

It's always a few working days after the draw before that months prizes are available to view.
You can normally check sooner by logging in to your account but that facility is down at the moment.0 -
