Premium Bond Winner ?

>>>> The way I look at having bonds and losing potential interest is that a few hundred pounds a year is not going to affect my life but winning a big prize will do, so I'm willing to take that risk.
Me too.
Also, half the money held in Premium Bonds is money I inherited 3 years ago and is earmarked for a new car. Many people would have splashed out on the new car straightaway, and depreciation would have eroded the capital value greatly in the three years. My existing car is adequate, and I still have my capital! Yes, I could get better interest elsewhere but I have a chance of winning a big prize in the meantime (until I really have to get the new car). Having it 'tied up' in PBs delays me rushing to spend it on a car (or anything else!) on a whim. When I eventually get the new car, it should, hopefully, take me X more years into the future that it would if I'd splashed out straightaway.
Everything's relative. I'm happy with my choices!
£100 + £25 for me this time :j , (after a poor 12 months). First time I've ever seen a £100 !

Checked their website a few days ago after having an email to say I had won a prize, to find I had won 1x £25.
Today 2 X £25 had been paid in to my bank account.
Not that I am complaining.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

I have had various amounts over the past few years, had £10k for a year, won £1200 in total, happy with that. Now have about £1000, won nothing for ages.
Friends mum, I talked her into getting some, bought £5k, first month, wins £100k. Gutted.
Delighted for her of course. But gutted.0 -
