    I bought £100 and in one year won 2 x £50 prizes, thus a 100% interest rate!

It's the 1st tomorrow so good luck to everyone.
May you win enough to make all your dreams come true..!

I had the same problems too. I am sure that I was never asked to set those questions in the first place.

I wish I would win - how exciting even to win £25 :D

When I registered my existing P.Bond holding with NSI, and upon logging in the first time....
I was asked to set up all these questions plus the answers.
For each question No you were given an option as to what you wanted the question to be.
Of course like any security question the answer you give does not have to be the right one or indeed any meaningful word itself.
For example it may ask you the name of your first born child and you don't have any....so you put bc^h*12 - that becomes the answer - just don't forget it.
Likewise when asked for mothers maiden name when setting up other sites security practice I never use the actual one

    a few years back we bought 500 worth (100 for each of the 5 of us, 2 A , 3 C). I won 100 the next month, a 100% immediate return!!!!

I consider any money left (ie th e bonds) and any money later in prizes to be free lol.

I haven't won anything since they changed the lowest amount to £25.00 and that is quite a while. I used to win two or three times a year on my £3500 holding. I am thinking I should cash them in and buy them again to see if I can kick start something new. I love having bonds and wouldn't move them anywhere else, but it is more fun if you get something back now and again. Haven't checked though so you never know I might be a millionaire!:j

Sorry to say the cashing them in theory just doesn't work. Any bond has exactly the same chance of winning each month.
NS&I effectively dropped their interest rates some time ago meaning there was less money to pay out, that probably has more to do with it.

Haven't a clue myself, Armchair23, but someone told me the original program was written in such a way as to favour bonds recently bought. Does anyone know anything about this?

Why would they do that? It would be a clear breach of their own T&Cs for no practical reason.
