Not before time have they introduced some way of managing your PB holding online. But if you're not already a NS&I account holder you have to print out the pdf application & then post it to them, now why is that..?
You'd think that having PB's with a holders number & a valid email address - they already know your home address - would be enough to activate a password so you could do it all online straight away...there's no reason why they can't just generate a password & post that.
But even a small progression is still, i suppose, a progression.
And direct payment into your bank account should cut out the wait of 3 - 4 weeks before you receive your money.0 -

Our situation is even more bizarre! My wife and I already have NS&I login usernames and passwords by virtue of having Direct ISAs with them, but can we see our bond holdings? ... can we heck!
I phoned them up and was told that we would each have to download that pdf application, quote our login IDs and Bond Holder IDs, post it off to them and they'd link our ISAs and premium bonds to the same existing login ID.
That was 3 weeks ago. We still can't see our bond holdings! What a farce.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
Bit ironic in this day and age that to register one has to print off a PDF form, fill it in and post it!
BTW - I'm waiting a payout for January 2011 . .. ... ... .0 -

Yes, I'm also waiting for a payout for Jan 2011. The website says I've won (only £50), but the money hasn't yet arrived. This seems later than usual.0 -
I just wanted to write a positive note.
I have printed and posted the internet "application form" for both myself and my wife.
My log in and password has arrived and I am now logged on and "live"
I am very pleased that at long last NS&I enable internet access (although limited to some accounts only)
I am over the moon (as they say in football) that prizes can be paid directly into my bank account.
Yes we can say it's a bit late, but better late than never.
I like the extra security idea of a picture and a personal phrase to show you are really on the correct site.
A big negative is the limited accounts that are shown. We have Premium bonds that are shown and index linked saving certificates that are not shown. Will they in the future? I hope so.
I hope my wife's details will arrive in the post soon.
The web site is not 100% user friendly and it is a shame.
However I am a happy bunny. Thanks NS&IThere will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

I`ve just rang NS&I and have been told that the prizes were sent out later this month and the last batch will be sent "tomorrow".
If you have already received some prizes, but not all, the remainder will also be on there way shortly.0 -

And, finally, it arrives this morning (Thu 27th). I know it's only £25.00 but this is the longest I've had to wait.. Good job there's a piddling amount of interest lost....mmmm!0

Thanks, 2010. Just wondering if NS&I mentioned why the payments were being sent out late this month?
Anyway, have had one cheque for £25 arrive this morning and now awaiting the second.
er
Woo hoo....
Anyway, glad for the win, and very grateful to have been told that it was on it's way.
Thank you, 2010.0 -
Hi there,
I've not had a chance to read through the whole thread and the NS&I website is a bit ambiguous so...
I want to buy bonds (I'm already a holder but the bonds were bought for me when I was a baby and so have not done this myself) and for them to go into the Feb draw. I was pretty shocked to see that it takes them a whole week to process debit cards so if I paid cash at a PO today would things progress quicker? Ideally I'd buy over the phone but if this is quicker?? (I'm only buying £100 this month, not decided if I'll do it regularly, but just wanted to experience the fun "gambling" kind of experience while the interest rates are rubbish).
Thanks for your help.
It's only a game
